I never got this "Trump tax returns" thing. I mean aren't someone's taxes supposed to be their own business and no one else's?
It was supposed to be the smoking gun for Muh Russiagate.

How? Hell if I know, but they are convinced that it's the MacGuffin that will slay the Orange One once and for all.

I think Roberts is just trying to kick the can until the new congress stops it more than anything, because this is the shit the democrats have been doing since 2019 in trying to make the walls close in.
Liberal coworker was telling me how THIS TIME Trump was going to jail. I told him if they had anything they'd have already put him in jail.
It's a little stupid. We're two years since Trump lost (whether fairly or not)... you'd think they'd run out of outrage.

The even sadder part is that last time they tried the tax thing back in the 2015 it turned out Trump paid more Taxes then Hillary and used it to rub the Dem's faces in it.

I think they are trying to get it so they can
1. Show he is not very rich
2. Fishing for any loophole/mistake they (might) be able to nail him on.

I'm guess since all the Dems commit tax fraud on a massive scale they all assume Trump does as well.

Right there.

Nobody projects like a liberal.

"Everyone secretly wants to fuck kids. Love is love." - Local pedophile

They all assume because he was a NYC Democrat involved with construction he's got to be as dirty as the Pelosi family is in SF construction.

That's the other thing, the left always thinks two things are the same when they aren't.

"Well, cocaine and anthrax are the same because they are both white powders, right?"

I think its more a tradition the politicians release it voluntarily. Kinda makes sense you can signal you have nothing to hid and the other guy refuses looks shady.

Military veterans have an innate understanding of authority and credibility so these things are obvious to you.
That's because military veterans have been on the receiving end of absolute, arbitrary, and unilateral power, and have had to obey its demands, no matter how stupid or useless they may be.

They got al capone on his taxes. Basically, they can't find anything on Trump (or, at least, nothing that they media-political class can understand, because they don't operate anywhere near the mafia-ridden world of New York property manipulation), so they're trying to get him on a technicality instead. It's a revenge play, nothing more.

Meanwhile the college educated soy golems have no idea how political power actually works.

It turns out that twitter mobbing and reporting people on facebook for hurting your feelings really isn't the best training for real-world politicking. If we just ban people who disagree with us, we never have to see their words, so it's like they don't even exist anymore. But they do exist, and they can still vote.

Mods? Can we please ban this CHUD shitlord?

If its the one I'm thinking off the dude climbing the wall was trying to escape the massive mob crush that killed 130~ish people in South Korea Seoul during Halloween. Didn't realize they turned him into a meme.
This one?

In our supposed Asian future, it took a white man to just climb the fucking walls and not die.

In order to do a shake up, you need people from the middle ranks of the party who can step up. Shake-ups also tend to put more ideologically committed candidates in position. The problem is there is a significant dearth of even mildly pragmatic candidates in that demographic group.

A lot of the MAGA candidates were already politically involved deeply in party politics, they just needed an ideologically congruous wave to take them to the top.
I see the MAGA-oriented Republicans taking over the party by the end of this decade.
