Lupus was still a death sentence within my lifetime. Fibromyalgia is still considered a fake disease, rather than a disease people fake having because the diagnostic criteria is easily faked. Adult adhd was unheard of, despite not being something you can actually outgrow. We had two different terms for different levels of autism less than ten years ago.

We still don't know why women have autoimmune diseases much more often than men do. We are just now starting to realize that men and women have completely different symptoms for the same disease or event like a heart attack and investigating into that as well as improving outreach to women. The push to make woman a four-letter word is counteracting that push, but since when do the men who make decisions ever cared about women?

Medicine is a science, and science doesn't pretend to have all the answers. Even now we're seeing entire countries overhaul the ways they treat trans people, countries Tony would consider as liberal like Sweden, not just conservative states here in the US or England.

As we learn more the science changes, as it should. Tony is a moron for not understanding that.
