For the autists here, it goes way deeper than that.

In the 1940 animated feature film, both Pinocchio and Lampwick are grooming victims of the coachman, who wants to turn naughty, irresponsible boys into donkeys in order to sell. Lampwick especially is a bad influence on the naive, innocent puppet. He basically grooms Pinocchio while being unaware of the gravity of what he's doing because he's young and stupid.

You cannot create a better analogy for how the lgbtq community treats children, and creates a crab-in-the-bucket scenario for them, if you fucking tried.
