The reason it's cyclical is because children's brains are still learning what is normal for the grown-ups in their life and what isn't. Sexual abuse "teaches" children very, very wrong things about sex and sexuality, and not knowing better they perpetuate the cycle. As an example (and someone correct me if I get the details wrong), Labelle has said he had an older homosexual male "friend" who "showed" him he's actually a woman, or something like that, which is why he's so keen to show children deviant sexual behaviors.

Just for my own timeline understanding: He's 34 in 2022. He would have been 9 in 1997 and 13 in 2001.

There is no doubt in my mind that he was diddled as a kid. I wasn't convinced before, but now I am.

Any parent who lets their nine-year-old look at the internet with no adult supervision may as well hang out a sign that says, "Free kid!"

Has he said where he met this adult boyfriend when he was 13?

And a real shrink would tell him that he's re-enacting his diddling.

What's more, it was common knowledge that it's not a good idea to allow underage kids to use online forums/message boards/chat rooms, it wasn't until social media became commonplace that doxxing yourself was seen as acceptable.

The most that a kid might do would be to play browser games on their favorite sites, or view animations on flash portal sites.

The wild west days of the internet were arguably safer for kids than now, because at least there was no illusion or false sense of security.

His parents must have been especially retarded to not know any of that in the late 90s or early aughts. Believe it or not, they emphasized internet safety and infosec much more than they do now.

If only these people knew that many of us like to watch cartoons, to have stuffed animals, to like to play with children (hide and seek, ....), to be "kids" between adults ( whether in the way of speaking, in acting or in games)
