A dog was caught on video in Zacatecas, Mexico, running down the street with a human head hanging out of its mouth.

Alarming video clips shared to social media show the stray dog running down a dark street at night, holding the corpse’s head by the neck, likely taking it somewhere to eat the remains.

The head and other body parts were abandoned in an automatic teller booth in the town of Monte Escobedo on Wednesday, an unnamed law enforcement official told Fox News.

The body parts had been left with a message referring to a drug cartel, officials said.

The message, which was likely intended to intimidate rivals and authorities, was intercepted by the mischievous canine before police were able to recover it.

Police in the crime-ridden state had to pry the corpse’s head from the hungry dog’s mouth.

Violencece has spiked in recent years in the city of Zacatecas, with many pointing to a turf war between the Sinaloa and Jalisco drug cartels, which are both looking to control drug trafficking routes to the US.

Imagine how easy it must be to be a serial killer in Mexico. Every depraved inhumane crime is simply explained away as "yet another Drug Cartel execution, guess its just another Tuesday Officer Pablo".

Then again, Serial killers crave attention and fame so maybe its actually hell for them because no one ever gets to "appreciate" their work.

Aztec genes.
I was looking at the homicide rates and it really is interesting. Seems like states where the population were subjects/enemies of the Aztecs and Maya have much lower homicide rates while their homelands are sky-high. Also seems like the more indigenous population there is, the lower the rate which also corresponds to subject lands.

A lot of the Spanish weren't much better than the Aztecs so I think there were some messed up family values passed down four or five hundred years ago.

Many other variables to consider but it's interesting. Wonder how it would look for the Inca in Peru.
