Like I wrote; I understand that they're probably aware of what is going on,but at the end of the day they're primarily in it for the money and not for the social activism and if people start to spam negative messages about Elliot's shenanigans on their social media then the negative PR will incentivize them into taking action against Elliot.

I honestly know very little about VC funding so I don't know if any of those investors have the power to hire and fire. But I would guess that if their biggest investor said that the next round of funding was contingent on Honeycomb getting rid of their PR problem, Liz would be out of there like shit through a goose.

Dong Gone is not as smart as he imagines himself to be, but neither is he a complete idiot. The tech industry is pretty insular, and I'd imagine he burned a lot of bridges at Google. If he leaves Honeycomb under shady circumstances, his next gig will be working at the Genius Bar at some third-tier Apple store.

Clearly they're being funded by some form of charity investments or guilt money, or possibly just straight up blackmail. The founders must have either called in some pity favors or twisted some arms.
