The last experience I remember of a message board where you could speak your piece was the IMDb boards, and they shut that shit down because Amazon didn't want to moderate them anymore. I miss those boards, they were all sorts of entertaining drama and chaos and just utter ridiculousness.

It's impossible to overstate how important having human readable code was for the development of computers and, ultimately, the Internet itself.

My god, this really does need to be highlighted. Even with good comments and annotation and macros, machine code is, in the general case, shit tastic to read and reason about, even compared to the typical Needful Contractor Code Brought To You By Deloitte™ that I see on a daily basis. The barrier to writing code is also tremendously higher if you have to write in assembly.

The fact that morons can write code that runs in a useful way at all is a huge win for humanity.

What a shame that the subject of this thread is apparently a hack even with the shoulders of giants they could stand on.

GTT still has a Juniper route server available over telnet. From there it looks like GTT either isn't receiving any route or is ignoring the route via Terrahost directly for the 1776 range, but they have the routes via Cogent & Arelion, then Altibox. Seems like most networks I checked (Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, another local ISP) are routing via Lumen to Altibox, but have the Cogent/Arelion paths as well. I don't really see why GTT would route through other networks if they had a direct route, so I'm assuming it's not path optimization reasons. There's still too much not known to speculate. It's possibly just things being shifted around, but worth keeping an eye on as no GTT means Altibox is a potential single point of failure (well, I suppose either way Terrahost is as well, but they seem like they're doing their best to help)

Multiple people have gone over how troons like to call Kiwi Farms users a cult, and what can be added to that is that it’s psychological mirroring, ie, troons seeing themselves in everything else, especially as a defense mechanism. In general, troons call those they disagree with, a word they understand, as cult-members of their quite religious in nature, gender beliefs. (Imo, not a very original or noteworthy form of defense on their part.) It’s good to see the healthy and robust differences of thought from various users, here. It’s even better seeing shit posts worthy of an ancient and hearty troll emerging from under the most sturdy of bridges.
