US 2022 Mid-Term Election

Is it just me? I don't think someone who's had strokes should be a senator (Fetterman).

Does that make me racist?
Definitely not when the stroke has clearly caused permanent damage like in Fetterman's case. At the very least, politicians should be barred from running until they recover.

Just imagine how funny it would be if Fetterman wins. His MEGA thread would be the most active one in A&H.
Provided there isn't the immediate admittance that he's a vegetable and his wife is appointed to replace him, I'm looking forward to the inevitable time he votes incorrectly b/c of language processing issues and begs for a re-vote in the Senate.

Always remember there is no political solution, guys. The only way forward is to disengage from the system, have a big family and train for the inevitable wars to come.

huge disagree. if you had to buy gas in the past year, or food, or wanted to conceal carry in a blue state, or had to compete with bids against contractors who use illegal aliens, the minimal engagement of voting has an effect on those things

Cross post from the US Politics thread about my experience handing out Repub slate cards tonight:
Dude. You would've KILLED to be in my position. There were two older ladies there, both named Natasha from Russia. They were based as fuck. I was talking about how I'd sooner walk into a bed of spikes before I trusted the MSM on anything, and they were in the same boat. They were talking about how they grew up during the USSR's reign, and how they see many parallels between it and today's America. There was also this based older white dude talking about how all the discussion around sexual matters (abortion, drag queens, troons, et al) is corrupting our children. 11/10, would hand out slate cards again
One more detail I forgot to mention: me and one of the Natashas ended up singing "God Bless the USA" at the top of our lungs. Got quite a few odd stares, but fuck them.
Keep an eye on NC. Nobody was particularly concerned about this one, but over 50% of the estimated vote is in and Beasley (D) is still ahead.
Well, whatever happens, at least I can say I went down fighting.

What continues to bother me is that people don't watch the maps for which counties came in and the %s, and instead they just look at the overall number and freak out every time it goes up or down, like its a crypto-coin.
listen, "early votes + cities are likely to be processed faster on election day" is a huge hill to climb for a lot of the intellectual giants ITT.
