Josh, while it’s still autumn, you should play Night in the Woods on stream. The guy Zoe Quinn forced into suicide did the music for it and it’s actually pretty comfy. However, because it’s made by soydevs, the central characters are Life is Strange levels of insufferable at times, so your mileage may vary on how unintentionally funny you may perceive the dialogue.

The theme of the characters in Night in the Woods is that they're young adults who haven't grow up yet. The main character is the worst, just totally annoying and unlikable. I played it a few months ago, and I enjoyed the character interactions with the perspective that they're immature kids who think they know more than they do and also think they're way funnier than they really are. I'm not calling it a masterpiece, but I see people (in general, not just this game) fall into thinking that characters are poorly written because they're unrelatable.
Also I realize I'm saying that while donning the form of Alex Yiik, but to be clear, Alex is not a good character falsely maligned because the audience doesn't "get" him. He just sucks.

I don’t disagree and I personally don’t mind the dialogue myself, but I can see a lot of people turned off by it. I think Mae’s a great POV character and she has a proper character arc and everything, but if you really don’t like quirky alt chick characters then the game loses a lot of its appeal seeing as how it’s largely dialogue-driven.

Has someone compiled a “Best of MATI”, yet? I know we have the archives, but a good thing to do for the Gumroad people and others might be to compile what @Null thinks are the best and what the fans think are the best.

Here's a bit I would put on the "best of" collection. During the original Chantal stream, timestamp 45:45, Josh starts shuffling around to get a drink and promptly spits Vodka all over himself after someone types in the chat, "Josh is taking his pants off." It was a hysterical moment followed by Chantal's threeway-poop-and-vomit story.

I would for sure put the time Josh got drunk during an older stream (44:50) and made a useless people/useful people of IBS diagram in a "best of" compilation. I don't care about IBS but shit had me dying. I had no idea what he was talking about but I also knew exactly what he was talking about.
