I’m in the mood for some autistic conspiracy theories. I’ll start by laying out some facts:
Is it possible that there was an understanding that Michael Janke would give Honeycomb access to DataTribe on the condition that Liz helped bring down Kiwifarms? Is it possible that Honeycomb rewarded Liz for her apparent success with the promotion?
Probably just me being retarded but I think it’s worth keeping an eye out for any connections between DataTribe and Honeycomb.
- Michael Janke is co-founder of DataTribe
- DataTribe invests in companies exactly like Honeycomb
- Honeycomb is not remotely profitable and desperate for investors
- Liz suddenly got a big promotion right as everyone was declaring victory over Kiwifarms

It's a data analysis tool that, as far as I can tell, consumes all of the logs your applications produce and spits out pretty graphs. There's probably some network analysis in there as well. They call this "observability".
There's a dozen or more similar products just on the AWS marketplace, none of which is appreciably less capable than this one. As far as I can tell, they bring absolutely nothing unique to the space, other than a bunch of trannies and buzzwords. They're probably banking on people perceiving a smaller company as more responsive and agile to needs.
