Those games simply do not work with the left. She'll always have an asterisk beside her name and they'll elect the 'real' first female president. Everyone who doesn't think exactly like them is a nazi and isn't given acknowledgment.
See RBG, the First Female Supreme Court Justice (except that Republican bitch)

The fact this shit flinging is happening in overdrive right now effectively proves the only reason for the slow count is to try and end a 2024 Trump run. Lake is going to win Arizona (and maybe Masters too), the Republicans will take Nevada - but if it takes Trump off the board the Dems and RINOs are happy campers. That alone confirms the uniparty supplicants and sycophants only care about the one man who cannot be bought off because it keeps their spoils flowing. If Lake et al. do not reform their states' electoral systems in the wake of this bullshit then you have full recourse to go full doomer, because at that stage the only recourse to modern American politics is a legitimate shooting war.

Just like the first black Supreme Court Justice. They actually sat there and called Jackson the first black Supreme Court Justice.

Thurgood Marshall died in 1993 so he wasn't available for comment but I'm sure he was mad.

Honestly, I'd wish we'd just go back to paper ballots altogether. Every passing year I begin to hate technology more and more.
You know who has a better election system?

India. They use this.

Election Ink Wiki Article said:
Election stain typically stays on skin for 72–96 hours, lasting 2 to 4 weeks on the fingernail and cuticle area. The election ink used puts a permanent mark on the cuticle area which only disappears with the growth of new nail. It can take up to 4 months for the stain to be replaced completely by new nail growth. Stain with concentrations of silver nitrate higher than 18% have been found to have no added effect on stain longevity, as silver nitrate does not have a photosensitive reaction with live skin cells. This means that the stain will fade as new skin grows.[1] Silver nitrate is an irritant and is used as a cauterizing agent at concentrations of 25% or higher.[2]

Just get a thumbprint from every person who shows up, and ask to see their thumb before voting. Simple-as. Yeah, it has other complications but it's not a bad system.
Edit: To be clear, personally I'd like a combination of this and voter ID. Just ask for id, ask to see index cuticle, then mark it if there isn't one on there already and let the person go on and vote.

Democrats used to say they had twice as many black senators as the republicans. They had 2, and the republicans had 1. I don't know what the mix is now but I always thought that was hilarious.

Exactly, be upfront about it. I doubt Youngkin even runs at this point, he seems to be doing a good in Virginia, maybe he can start turning Virginia a little more red like DeSantis helped do to Florida.
This. Youngkin running for president without even completing one term is even greater lunacy than DeSantis running in the middle of his second. It would leave the changes he has made headway on vulnerable.

Of course, this is Ryan, part of the same class of GOPe wunderkind that thought it was brilliant to push Sarah Palin onto the ticket as VP before she had completed her term as Alaska governor, simply because she had "star power." All it did was cause her star to diminish and ruin her future chances on both the local and national level.

They are so obsessed with "firsts" it's unreal. No one cares if someone was the "first black transgender two-spirit midget woman to be elected to the lower eastern massachussetts school board" but you can bet they'll parade that person around like it's some kind of big deal.

Fuckin' don't remind me. The media are gushing over the fact that Maura Healey is the first lesbo governor in US history, never mind her guaranteed future plans with the rest of MA's Democrat supermajority to rape the ever loving shit out of us with new taxes, crime and wokeshit.

Yeah after this bullshit people like the Turtleman need to fucking disappear from the GOP already.
Who replaces him as the leader of the GOP? The only current contender is Lindsey Graham. You know, the one who, on behalf of his DNC masters, pushed a GOP branded "lets set federal abortion rules" bill specifically so the DNC could use it in campaign ads?

The Turtle's antics have been obnoxious, no doubt, but he does have skills that have made him invaluable in keeping the worst Democrat initiatives from getting any headway in the Senate.

Ideally, this public stuff are shots across the bow/signaling their displeasure with his leadership decisions and throwing some red meat to the populist base, while behind the scenes all these men are meeting to have a come to Jesus moment about what actually needs to be done going forward to keep the party viable and not let the Democrats steamroll them and the country. It may wind up that ultimately Turtle is allowed to keep his leadership position, but he has to make some concessions.

I wouldn't hate to see Rand do it. It probably won't happen though. They'll want someone who is willing to fund the war in Ukraine.

What? No one even knew who Palin was until McCain picked her as his running mate. Wth are you talking about?

Palin was talked about in several conservative circles prior to 2008 (including talk radio, which at this time still had significant influence). She might not have had national recognition, but she was definitely on the way up within the party.

Right, I have been waiting to give my thoughts but since this shit will be dragged out forever:

First off, let me throw some cold water a bit late onto you all. And to explain a bit about why everyone hyped up a red wave anyone with historical knowledge knew wasn't coming.

Midterm polling is mostly accurate.

This might seem weird as a statement but let me explain. The big thing that pushes a polling differential is when people either answer dishonestly or downplay their support. This is almost always a presidential election factor. Very, very few people will usually do so during a midterm election. So usually on a midterm you can look at the polling and say "That's about right". But people have gotten so used to the Shy Trump vote they were tacking on significant percentages to the polling.

Now, with the core reason out of the way lets talk about why the Republicans didn't do as well as people thought they -should-. As well as some that did less than you think.

Fraud
Trump
GOPe
Messaging

These four things appear a lot. So lets start from the top.

Fraud:
Not as big of an issue in -most- states. Things followed more or less as predicted by my "The Democrats are strapped for cash". This does not mean they have no funds or no level of inbuilt support they can rely on though. See Arizona, Pennsylvania, and New York. My takeaway from each is somewhat interesting though.

Arizona appears to have Maricopa standing alone and Lake is still well on track to squeak by with a win. Both major drops of Democrat ballots from Maricopa have occurred with maybe one more totaling less than 20% of the remaining vote. If Lake gets in, I'd expect Arizona to be locked down come 2024, if she loses... well, things might get worse.

Pennsylvania is made up of fucking retards. Honestly, I actually have doubts about whether fraud actually came into play here. They were definitely gearing up to, don't get me wrong, and I am sad I could not see them put it in use to gauge its effectiveness. But it looks like Oz lost fair and square. So the real reason for the failure here will lie in messaging.

NY, oh yah they cheated this one. And now it gets to ab an albatross around the neck of the Democrats for a good long while. Probably the only really good takeaway from this election.

Trump:
Was a nonfactor in the loss. Look, everyone blaming Trump, please stop and think not about the end results but instead about his actual effect. And no, those are not the same thing. Trump's endorsements helped push candidates over the threshold into the primary and yes, also helped them in the general. The problem is, as above, midterm polling is actually accurate. Did you expect some kind of extra-super-duper-secret bump on election day? Your point is nonsense. Shockingly, to nobody's surprise, the former GOP leader's endorsement... doesn't have much effect on independents or Democrats. You see the exact same thing with Obama-endorsed candidates -at his peak-.

GOPe:
Now we start getting to the actual factors for what you saw. The funding this round was all over the place. And yes, there was deliberate sabotage of more MAGA candidates by the GOPe. Pulling money from what should have been comp[etative and key races only to funnel it into absolutely nothing was catastrophic to some races that could easily have been won with a funding push. But I will caution against throwing everyone and anyone under the bus specifically. McConnell does not personally order the RNC, nor does Ryan, nor does anyone actually blamed here. Oh, they definitely had a say in it all, but they were not the ones calling the shots.

Messaging:
Right, now the actual big reason. Let's just say it, the GOP does not have a message to sell the public. "We are not the Democrats" is not sufficient. The big reason Ron Johnson did so well here in WI is we didn't let him forget that. But the GOP as a whole ran on "Fuck Biden" without presenting a real alternative, let alone a clear and concise one. And honestly, while the reason for not throwing a damp blanket on everyone was there, I should have pointed that out. The Republicans were doing the attack messaging well but utterly failing to present a real alternative. Too much focus was put on Biden and the internal party struggle, and too little focus was put on the actual issues. Nowhere was this more clear than in Pennsylvania. The Oz v. Fetterman debate was the single biggest boon to Oz's chances as he laid out clear ideas and the polls proved it.

And then not a single god damned followup on it.

Nothing.

Just focus on how badly Fetterman did.

As an addition, I feel I should explain something else I said a bit more. Since I described Evers as standing aside for the Wisconsin legislature for election reform and I realized that might be... confusing to say the least. Considering Evers has vetoed every bill on it put to him.

Put simply there is a well-choreographed song and dance going on in Wisconsin. The legislature sends the strongest, most strident, most demanding bills to Evers to claim they are doing something. Evers then publically says he will give them all due consideration but makes clear he won't accept it being made harder to vote, then vetoes those overly strident bills.

Behind closed doors, he does what Wisconsin politics always does. Hashes out the actual deal. The deal mainly being in two parts. He will not devote a serious legal case in the courts to anything brought up, and if the legislature gets a solid example of fraud he will sign the bill for it. The GOP here then will not heavily pursue him on the subject and will only send a bill meant for actual signing that takes into consideration Evers's red lines.

Both sides can claim utmost ideological adherence to their voters, but the deal is struck and the ink dried on how they will effect actual change. There was some concern that Evers might reneg his part of the deal but so far he has upheld his part with the courts and the narrow win he got for the governorship means he has been incentivized to keep to the deal.

First out lesbian governor perhaps, but I'm pretty sure Dixy Lee Ray was the first lesbian governor.

They should feel ashamed, if anything.
