I just realized! DoodleDiapers will be thrilled.

I don't feel sorry for any of them at this point, way too many of them want to rely on Youtube/Twitch/Patreon/Onlyfans and whatever else and expect it to last in the long term despite that engagement, donations, and views can peak and decline at any time. I won't even bother with those who are too lazy to create constant content these days while wanting their pathetic audience to pay their lifestyle (even then many won't change lifestyle if the money starts to go down). All of these glorified NEET-celebs of days gone by should have done 4 things:
- saved money
- got education
- got part-time job, just to have something to show a future employer once ecelebism dies
- maintained health(the most important prerequisite for anything "life")
I wonder how much the success of YouTubers like wendigoon getting millions of views with similar content.Considering his videos and the frequency at which he uploads them, to me looks like that Greg doesn't know what a youtuber job is.
He looks like the kind of guy that thinks that being a youtuber means making a video "when you feel like doing it". Well, guess what Greg? It doesn't work like that.
Making a living off youtube means doing it as a full-time job, and like every job on this godforsaken planet, it means you have to do stuff even when you don't feel like doing it; because, you know, it's a job, not a hobby.
I've heard some youtubers explaining their jobs: they have a very strict routine. They need to look for material for the next video, properly document about it, write down a script, film the video, find relevant photos/videos to add, properly edit it, etc. That's something that takes your whole day. There are youtubers out there that upload twice a week just to stay relevant, and they barely make enough money to make it to the end of the month. Some youtubers work so much to grow and keep their audience, that they start to have health problems (the first that comes up in my mind is Arun from MrWhosetheboss, who in a video some months ago stated that he needed to tone down the work on the videos because it was starting to badly effect his health).
Our beloved Greg, on the other hand, spouts out a low-effort video every two months, and expects praise for it.
I might understand that making videos for him is a "passion" (and I'm being very optimistic on this one by not calling it a "grift"), but passion without dedication brings you nowhere. For comparison, imagine a dude that wants to be a professional bodybuilder, but works out and eats healthy only when he feels like doing it: this is Greg.
Greg always looked like a spoiled, low-IQ manchild, and this depressive rant of his just confirms that. He just wants money handed to him for merely existing. There are plenty of jobs out there for people who have no market-worthy skills, and even if they're menial jobs it's still a thousand times better than being homeless. But I guess that a "normal" job is out of question for Greg. Perhaps it's true: the long-term morbid adoration from June has gone to his head, and he's started to think that he's really special and above others. What a hard way to find out the truth.
If I may?I can't imagine what it's like when your only interaction with people is thru a computer screen.
Huh, I haven't heard of or thought of this guy for a long while. Last I knew he was dating some hot Aussie chick and seemed to do better than Shoe. Guess not.Suicide incoming (from his YouTube)

That’s the only part of what you said that I disagree with. Because you can upload loads of videos and set when you want them to drop nowadays. So you just batch record when you want to work so you have a backlog for when you don’t.t means you have to do stuff even when you don't feel like doing it;
And funny thing is, Greg has marketable skills. He just does not seem to want to use them. There are plenty of jobs out there for people who have no market-worthy skills, and even if they're menial jobs it's still a thousand times better than being homeless.
My father worked his ass off taking care of my dying mother in her final years, taking her to the hospital almost everyday, so I really don't like the dope manosphere trope of "just dump her if she sick, bro". You don't need to be a simp, but have some honor. Then, iirc, some months later, that same woman said that she had breast cancer or some type of life changing illness, and he very quickly dumped or blocked her.
I don't know how youtube creators don't have horrendous existential dread knowing their career is going to last a decade at best. Like what, you think you're going to be doing this 20, 30 ,40 years from now? You're gonna be sat there as a wrinkly old man still doing this shit? All of these glorified NEET-celebs of days gone by should have done 4 things:

E-fame doesn't last forever, it has an expiration date. He should've seen the writing on the wall, but he didn't. As a result, he's now broke and miserable.Suicide incoming (from his YouTube)

I mean you can be. It just requires you to know when to switch platforms or be smart with moneyI don't know how youtube creators don't have horrendous existential dread knowing their career is going to last a decade at best. Well, James seems to have switched his content up quite a bit - focusing on more serious stuff with the odd AVGN episode thrown in (which still rake up >1 million views). He also seems to have actual knowledge on video editing + shot composition so even if his channel gets nuked, he could still find a job as a video editor or something.I've always wondered how people like Doug and James manage
