Elon Musk Seemingly Fires Twitter Employee Via Tweet

Software engineer Eric Frohnhoefer had entered into a public dispute with Musk over why the company's Android app was acting slow.

Musk asks the guy what he thinks the problem is and he comes back with this incredibly vague reply:

“First [the app is] bloated with features that get little usage. Second, we have accumulated years of tech debt as we have traded velocity and features over perf. Third, we spend a lot of time waiting for network responses,”

Lots of buzzwords and zero technical data or insight. Musk was expecting an insightful answer and got user complaints. The engineer wasted a golden opportunity, but the reason he was fired was because he made a bluff. He didn’t actually know shit about why the app was slow (whereas Musk had an actual idea which very likely came from real engineering work, i.e. profiling and logging); Musk immediately learns that from his response and does what anyone with any good business sense would do.

Another explanation might be that for a lot of these fuckfaces, this is still their first job straight outta college, so they don't really know what it means to be unemployed (in the threshold of another fucking recession to boot). They might still think correctly or not that having knowledge and experience in tech makes it easier to find their next job. Even if other marquee tech brands are also laying off staff and that the good ol' days when Si Valley tech would dole out cushy jobs where you dont necessarily have to show up are probably drying up.

The problem is, people write back-ends for it that are fucking retarded and repeat the same queries multiple times, which slows everything down - but that's the same issue a lot of REST or SOAP APIs have.
