Yes, duh

5 concurrent sentences of 10 years each means you do 10 years. If you dont get time taken off after serving some as most do

5 consecutive sentences of 10 years each means you do 50 years. If you dont get time taken off after serving some as most do

Yeah. 3x10 year counts. Consecutive would be 30 years total and concurrent would be ten years. Bear in mind brooks has been tried for multiple counts before. He has to know what these mean.

If you have a 10 year, 15 year, and 20 year sentence, and you serve them concurrently, you’ll be out (at maximum) 20 years. If you have those sentences but consecutively, you’ll be serving 45 years (minimum)

Judge stopped him at 2hrs on the nose, she already has what she needs and he didn't convey anything special. She's knows what she was going to do today and probably has since the verdict has been read. The state going over his 20 year crime (and breeding) spree was a clutch move showing other judges have let him off and he did the same shit over and over again.

Why is that even an option? Is there any incentive to choosing consecutively rather than concurrently at all? I assume concurrently has different treatment in prison, right?

Instead of nonsensical, abstract sentencings where a judge rules that they should receive multiple-multiple lifetimes in prison, why not just expose them to a lethal dose of radiation? The sort that kills within weeks, if not months. Not only a lethal dose, but have them kept alive for as long as they remain cognitively-functional, too. Spending a month or three confined to a bed, skin melting off and organs failing one after the other sounds like an excruciatingly-long death sentence that allows for a good deal of reflection on how they got there.


For those wanting intense suffering to befall the perpetrators of heinous crimes, I'd think that'd at least satisfy them. And give a nice divide between those actually wanting perpetrators of heinous crimes to suffer, and those just weak at the knees over sharing some slight burden over those sorts being put down.

imo wantant suffering is pointless. take him out back, put a bullet in his head, stick him in an unmarked grave. job done in 5 minutes.
