At this point marriage is basically just a special tax filing status. The institution has been so thoroughly degraded that allowing gays to get married barely even matters anymore. The state shouldn't be involved in marriage at all IMO but that ship sailed a long time ago.
That's why I'm in favor of getting the state out of marriage entirely and just turn it into a customizable contract between two persons. It'd help getting men open to it again too since you could bake "no divorce rape/equitable access to the children" clauses into the contract. Yeah, I know, send the rainbow stickers my way.

Republicans have officially taken the House. A small consolation prize for this fucked up election. It may not mean a lot to most of you, but I consider it a minor victory.
A moment of silence for the republicans who couldn't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. We know they gave it their all and yet the evil racist voters just won't lose with dignity.

At what point did this even become normalized and accepted? I know Biden isn't the only president to use speech cards, and idk I just lament that we don't even have leaders that give enough of a shit about what they say to speak from the heart.
Reagan could fit an entire speech on one 3x5 card. I tried to find a picture and all I found was his joke cards, but he used them for some of his serious speeches, too.

He was also notorious for using a teleprompter at all times. This was about when I started following politics, so it might have been a common criticism for anybody of the opposing party, but I remember hearing about that a lot.
He didn't just use a teleprompter, he used it poorly. He'd whip his head back and forth between the two screens so quickly it looked like he was watching a ping-pong match.

I'm not counting my chicken until it hatches and Nancy is gone.

Her replacement within the House Dems is likely to be Hakeem Jeffries, who amusingly enough is an enemy of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. So her life isn't getting any easier!

Again, it depended on where you lived and who raised you. When we went to Iraq, the rumblings about "Are we the baddies?" began and then when Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac kickstarted the recession, suddenly no one was feeling prosperous and good about it. Maybe the older Millennials had a taste of being able to forge one's own success, but more people in us two's age-ranges became disillusioned as we were starting to enter adulthood (teenage years for Zoomers) and suddenly shit was collapsing around us before we had a chance to prove ourselves. Most of us didn't come from well-off middle-class homes and shit for good opportunities, y'know? And college is a scam we still fell for because our parents thought college was still the same like how it was for them when that's not true.
Feel like the economy's tipping point was when the dot com boom ended.

People talked about the dot com craze as a time when just learning basic programming could easily get you a job and a good one. Quite a few people were getting recruited out of colleges because of some businesses being so desperate. Can anyone imagine businesses doing that now?

Things never really recovered for white collar workers. Places like Silicon Valley are weird pipe dreams for many now who can't imagine ever getting the sweet life that some of those people get, since the period for easier entry sorta passed them by.

I been following the AZ statewide races even now.

Charlie Kirk and his crew of copes were relying on the muzzie to win the state AG race.

Looks like he will lose by a smaller margin to some generic white liberal abortion obsessed cunt, who will most likely gut AZ law enforcement most likely and go after people who love guns in that state as well lol.

That is my prediction since I live in California lol.

So we supposed to believe that a state with a red legislature and went harder for sending GOP congressman in the house as well as voting for GOP control of statewide education, is fine with lawlessness and San Francisco style liberalism lol.

Also this election has killed off the strong male patriot Republican meme, thankfully.

Conservatives like Mitch and Ryan acting like petty and catty cuckolds over the small remaining power base for the GOP, over the state of America right now.

I believe conservatives like Mitch, have outdone troons and soycucks that vote Democrat and will go the distance in sticking togather no matter what.

Trumpy bear isn't going to save you. "Colorblindness" wasn't really a thing except on feelgood TV shows -- and there's even a 2005 episode of The Office where a diversity coach says that 'not seeing race' is just being ignorant. If you want to sit online and blame problems on other generations, or capitalism, or wokeism go right ahead. Just know that it reflects poorly on you and most successful people don't engage in that sort of behavior very much. And yes, it's still very possible to be successful. If you disagree, you sound a lot like a millennials would after the 2007 financial crisis.

Racism was legit almost gone in the 90s. You have no idea how much black comedians and entertainers mocked the proto-woke in those days. We almost had it solved, then grifters and commies remembered that racial division is what gave them relevancy, money, etc.
