Yeah, i also thought about this. The debris does look like parts of an S-300, but also of an Kh-101. Depending on the perspective of the photos, the crater is also bigger ( as you said )
One reaching theory is that the west want to claim this as a Ukrainian S-300, to avoid escalation and test Ukraines honesty. I honestly think they are sweeping it under the rug, i find an explanation involving two missiles the most feasible. Russians launched a ton of missiles aimed at West Ukraine, the old soviet tech ( Kh-101 and S-300 ) resulted in an accident on the border

Regardless, its the Russians fault for creating this situation in the first place. Ukraine is handling it bad tho, they could've just played the game and apologized, yet they're going against the narrative by being stoic
