So one of the pests found a copy of Pat's book in a second hand store (lol big seller huh?). To add insult to injury it was an "advanced copy", which is what publishers send out to libraries and other places to generate hype and promotion. So even places that received his books for free didn't want them!

Tiny Tim wasn't Scrooge's nephew, Fred was. Tim is Bob Cratchit's son, and Scrooge becomes like a second father to Tim after the former changes his ways.

It also doesn't make sense that Tim would become a hoodlum as a teen if Scrooge changed his ways and became a better employer for Cratchit. Even if Tim was left an orphan, it stands to reason that Scrooge would have taken him in and showed him his trade.

So the whole premise just shows that Pat just wants to write a Victorian action novel, but can't be bothered to write original characters, do basic research about existing characters, or think about worldbuilding.

In other words, he's a fat dunce.
