The Slaton Sisters / Amy Slaton & Tammy Slaton - The 1000 Pound Sisters

All things considered, it’s a step up from the BBW king and Jerry. Tammy outdoing Amy in weightloss and actually becoming a remotely functioning human being would be the plot twist of the century.
Unfortunately, the odds are HUGELY against two low IQ, semi-disabled, morbidly obese hambeasts motivating each other to lose weight. The only thing that motivated Amy was the desire to procreate with her pedo husband. Once she accomplished that, she started packing on the pounds again.

The powers at TLC are creaming themselves over the possibilities for next season, though. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they orchestrated the whole "marriage."

Sometimes it seems the more we hope the cows improve the worse they get. Maybe if we wish the opposite they will spite everyone and get better?

5% vs ~74%? Jesus, that's a hell of a difference between what sounds like you're saying is just weight class demographics and varied opinions. But I admit that I'm skeptical of both ends of that range. 2-5% sounds super dramatic and dire, which rakes in viewers for stuff like M6PL. 68%+ sounds like it would sway a lot of obeasts into getting that very expensive surgery and all of the other treatments and whatnot involved that that website's company wants people to buy.

I have to agree with you with what little I know in that it's probably too soon to get really solid numbers.
RNY Gastric Bypass has been around for 50 years. Initially as a cancer surgery, but the noted weightloss benefits saw it become the first bariatric surgery. Since then it has been played about with and morphed into many less successful bariatric surgeries that have all come with inferior outcomes (mainly due to unforeseen complications but most also had inferior weightloss).

Generally surgeons look to percentage of excess weight lost (EWL) over a period of years to find their success rate. 50% EWL being a bit of a standard at the 5 year mark. Regain of 10-25% of the EWL being seen as normal and the upper level of acceptable. Any weightloss maintained past a decade is pretty much seen as a benefit given many obesity comorbidities are significantly improved even with just a small % of weightloss. Someone who is still obese at 90kg is still likely to have better outcomes than if they stayed at 120kg or more.

The ONLY people who will lose and maintain their weightloss long term are those that make the significant and lifelong changes in diet and physical activity levels. Those that view surgery as a magic bullet (and the majority still do even given physiological counselling) are doomed to failure and regain. This includes every one of the Slaton siblings.

I really hope that Chris at least manages to make a healthy weight, I know the sisters are awful and the rest of the family isn't much better, but I genuinely like Chris.
He won't. His wife is back to obese (probably morbidly obese) despite her previous gastric bypass surgery and she is his main support system. Both his sisters are back to morbidly obese despite their gastric bypass surgeries. Unfortunately the knowledge isn't in that family, nor is the support to eat a healthy whole food diet. He'll be fighting a losing battle even IF sibling jealousy wasn't at play to sabotage his best efforts. With this in mind, Chris is missing the two primary tells for longterm WLS success.

Most people that watch the show probably don't know about it unless they're on the farms or have followed Amy and Tammy since the early days on Youtube.
This is the answer. I have family members who watch the show, and they had no clue when I told them about Molester Mike, Amy biting that kid, all of the animals, the GoFundMe fraud, etc, etc.

this is tammys registry... what in the fuck

I can't remember who it was, but a while back a person with extensive experience with morbidly obese family members gave us a rundown of all the devices? aides? whatever, tools that the morbidly obese can use to have sex.

The thing is, I think that was predicated on one morbidly obese woman and a slimmer man. No idea if those same tools would work when both are 600 pounds plus, but I can't fathom how rod A could be inserted into slot B in their case, to paraphrase Rosechu.

Well whaddya know, Kiwifarms does cause people to off themselves.

I love you all, but I really do have to kill myself now that I know this. I suggest you all do the same, we can never go back to when we hadn’t read this.
