Sam Hyde

That poor guy (Buckingham) took an unnecessary amount of CTE (and definitely a unchecked concussion) from getting knocked out twice by his sparing partner (23:38 ), and was even accused by the heartless gym audience for faking it.

Kudos for his willpower and bravery in all of this but this kind of brain scrambling isn't worth it. It reminds me of one episode of Sam's PGL where one of his fans wrote in, claiming his brother was a fan of Sam's and became completely paranoid and conspiratorial after a particularly bad concussion from playing American Football; Sam appeared completely disapproving of such unnecessary permanent brain damage from playing a sport (not to mention he disapproves of living life too dangerously in general, such as getting into a car accident by speeding), which is surprising to hear that Sam got into boxing despite this constant risk to the well-being to the head and even encourages/trains other internet celebs in it.
Dude, the fucking Dutch Kickboxers and numerous gyms in America spar that hard, because they're retarded. He wanted to go down this path, well don't start crying when you bite off more than you can chew. Better yet, stay in you lane. Having sympathy for someone going into the world of contact sports is retarded. They know that someone could come along wanting to make an example out of you.

I think what Sam and Nick talk mostly about now is geared to an older audience, as in it's more relatable (considering they're both nearly forty, plus Nick's married with a wee bairn). I don't find them boring, they're still pretty funny. Maybe it's boring because you're not getting that quintessential Sam Hyde experience where he's ranting into a fish eye lens about not paying debt or some shit

Edit - Also Nick's visibly lost weight and gotten thicker arms, which is pretty cool to see
Nick doing savage commentary on bullshit McMansions will never stop being funny.
House and interior decorating shows is always marketed towards women, but I'm sure men would watch the shit out of it if the show was made with commentary similar to this

it looks like sam did a livestream? did anyone clip this
Sam is livestreaming and has been doing so for the last hour and a half; he's currently taking superchat questions from his live chat as he plays Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 (DMZ).

Actually, that stuff was lame too. I'm a few years younger than them and I think the current stuff sucks.

I miss content like the old HydeWars vlogs, Happy World Daddy, Kickstarter TV, Ecstasy of Car, Theathre of the Aire, The Great War - high quality, edited stuff that was designed to be entertaining.

Sadly, Sam Hyde discovered he could make the same amount of money just laying on his back and having dull conversations with his friends.

Nick started going to the gym again after Sam’s fight.

I’m 42 and I dig this new “older” content because it’s not pandering to nerd shit or nice hobbies or consumer crap or whatever annoying podcast crap there is. Nick keeps it real and Sam keeps the relevant stuff going. Then again I’m a blue collar New Englander like Nick so I can relate to dropping your dunkies in your lap while driving outside the old abandoned building 19 that used to be the Bradley’s where you used to skate with your cousins after school

They only have three topics:
  • Houses
  • Cars
  • Shit that happened two weeks ago
It's like a high-IQ version of the Kino Casino.

But I will concede something - it's a very good cure for insomnia.

Nah, Nick and Sam's back and forth is an absolute pisser, especially the commentary on cars, houses and industrial design. We're gonna have to agree to disagree there.
So obviously you're not a fan of Sam's new format? You're aware he still does the "old" style content? It's on youtube.

What sort of podcasts do you enjoy listening to then? What's your tastes?

The video is so drawn out and boring i doubt it will stick and do anything.

Just saw Soph's video. Never heard of this Sam Hyde character before.

In "Jekyll and Hyde" the character has two personas, two personalities. One of them is a criminal. Maybe Sam is pretending to be an edgy Nazi anti-SJW to make the right look bad, while hiding his inner Epstein. I highly doubt his online persona is genuine or the alphabet agencies would have cracked down on him over the groomer stuff.

See the tribe approves. No more proof is needed. Sam's clearly an agent of Mos(es) Sad and a grifter.

Stream was a alright. Nick trying to carry on a conversation with the fuckin' stoners sucked. Maybe the stoners shouldn't get absolutely blitzed before the show so they actually function like normal people, goddamn. It's like watching slugs in human form.

Nick's advice on what to do/what to expect when buying a house is pretty on point.

sam hyde is as fat as boogie2988

have we ever seen him or frank hassle in the same room

I much prefer him and Nick hanging out and bullshitting because it's, on balance, more entertaining than any of "canned" bits he's done lately. "The Great War" was only funny if you're retarded.

The "Candyman" boxing thing was actually pretty solid, but you could tell his heart was in that one.

When Nick isn't trying to be too funny (judge this by how loud he's screaming) and it's just the two of them skewering something, they're pretty good.

Sams audience is yet again really affecting/blockading the great work Sam is doing. His comments are almost constantly circlejerks about how cool he is. I've truly enjoyed Sams content for years, but his advice is absolutely awful 99% of the time. He's a (former) spoiled rich kid who despises his dad and has been completely irresponsible with money for the last 7 years. While I think Sams content is very good now and he's one of the funniest people I've ever come across on the internet, he is a far from admirable person but the ~16 year olds who watch his videos can't seem to get that across.

This all could just be me. But I can't help but get irked whenever someone's fans put them on a pedestal. I'm guessing it's just new fans who see his rants and still don't understand that he's constantly playing a character.
