I think being forgotten/falling to the bottom of the heap is a concern for most of these reactors, afraid that they’ll be replaced by a newer channel. Chantal’s downturn is basically a death knell for many of them, but they’ll hang on until the flesh is gone and only bones remain.

I randomly clicked over to YouTube and FFG is live. I haven't watched her in quite a while so I don't know what the deal's been with her superchats but she said (near the beginning of the stream) that she may or may not read them anymore because they were trauma dumping and she doesn't want to trigger other people.

She also plans to do a stream later today criticizing the Dougherty Dozen channel (for anyone who doesn't know who that is, it's a family vlog thing by the mom Alicia - or Alusha as she's nicknamed for always being drunk on While Claws - her husband, their two biological kids, eight adopted kids and two foster kids. It's an utter trainwreck of a channel, mostly featuring Alusha spending gobsmacking amounts of money on groceries and crap for the kids while living in a crowded shithole with a bad septic system). The Dad Challenge Podcast on YouTube does a great job digging into her and her problematic behavior. So I guess FFG is jumping on that one.

Alusha is ripe for her own thread but my brain has been mush lately and I don't know if I could do her justice.

OT. Re: trauma dumping.

It is not unknown that people will claim homicidal thoughts towards their own children just to get attention (especially medical).

There's stolen valour, there's very broken people, there's also genuine severe illness. I think it's right that reactors hold appropriate discussions for their audience and have that discipline. And if they get these sorts of superchats or input then to just repeat some generic advice about seeking help professionally or amongst real friends and family.

If any of you get stuck on when someone tells you something traumatic and you don't know them. You may find this helpful. "I'm so sorry to hear that. Im sorry i dont know really what to say. I encourage you to seek help from your friends, family or professionals."
