Anisa realizes they’ll be locked in so she calls to cancel.

She was then mad the salon wasn’t more sympathetic to her or offered to reschedule. Something along the line of “she was giving me attitude when I told her I couldn’t make my appointment wtf what a bitch!” She then goes on a pity me I have bad social anxiety idk if I’ll find another nail salon(and she didn’t).

Anyways sometimes I think Anisa will change because she says strangely introspective shit, but then her main character syndrome kicks in and she returns to being a stupid insecure bitch.

Really good point here. A good therapist will acknowledge your feelings but also challenge them to show you where you're being unhealthy and potentially being an asshole to others. Then they teach you skills on how to really change and how to communicate and understand other people.

But of course the narcs we talk about on this site always fake therapy appointments and somehow miraculously find therapists who agree with everything they say and give them the worst advice and then take all the blame for the decisions too!

I think good therapy is similar to drug or alcohol rehab, if you're not ready or willing to give up your addiction there's no point in going through the process. Many people seem to be just as unwilling to give up their psychological issues, maybe it's a fear of change, what happens when they change their behaviour, how their life will change, it might seem safer and more comforting to keep acting the way they do, in Anisas case, the blowback she constantly receives is no doubt hurtful to her, but ultimately she knows that process and it is predictable, it follows a pattern. The real challenge would be altering that behaviour, making the effort to actually change how she responds to situations and how she deals with, or treats others, but that would require both effort and a will to change on her part. Good therapy is not a fix all, it's not a pill to pop to get rid of your problems, it's all on you and if you fail that's on you too, and that's the real issue for people like Anisa.

The patient has to get on board for any therapy to work. Anisa has never demonstrated the self-awareness for me to think she'd get anything out of therapy beyond using it as a lightning rod for more attention.
