Personal opinion as an American: for democracy to survive, it needs antidemocratic institutions within it to counteract mob rule. Examples in America include the Supreme Court (an unelected body nevertheless appointed by elected officials) and even the Senate (where a single Senator can bring all proceedings to a crashing halt).I used to think the HoL was an outdated and antidemocratic institution in need of abolishing but it turns out that having a job for life means Lords members aren’t frightened of their party members/donors the way Commons members seem to be (special mentions for Miriam Cates, Kemi Badenoch and Rosie Duffield for not giving a shit and standing up to the cocks in frocks and their handmaidens and munchiemoms.
He means Florida. He's a FloridianIt's an archipelago, daft nonce.
Dear, oh, dear, the trannies are revolting. Well, we could've told Susie that. Curse those purity spirals, even castrating your own child won't save you.
TBF she did start dying the tips of her hair blue & pink recently.Silly woman. She should have done what Amanda Jette Knox did: conveniently discover you are "nonbinary" right after troons start coming after you for being cis and speaking over trans people. I suppose she could not bear the thought of having to get a silly haircut.
It's funny that this person is complaining about Mermaids having a "history of transmedicalism". The main complaint that the terves have about Mermaids is their monomaniacal obsession with getting kids their blockers and hormones and tit chops. Talk about a Kumbayah moment.
The telegraph article is fascinating reading, (I'm willing to bet whatever dumb fuck was briefing the journalist didn't even realise he was from the Telegraph). What's clear is the rank of file tranny in mermaids don't give a shit about the safeguarding issues rather they're pissed about not getting a big enough piece of the pie (Mermaids is still a well funded charity) and not getting the constant affirmation that every tranny needs.
The “whistleblower” quoted in the Telegraph seems a bit strange to me, almost as if it has been drawn up by Mermaids themselves to pin all the blame on Susie Green and exonerate the staff.MM are trying desperately to blame it all on Susie, but I’m guessing this is the end.
This seems like the “whistleblower” is trying to portray the staff members as the ones who could have avoided the problems, if only Green had listened. But one look at the typical reaction to the various Mermaids revelations among young troons on social media will show that generally they think these aren’t problems in the first place (Breslow, binders, Mew). The group has endured an exodus of staff, with “upset” among some junior transgender staff who alleged they were “treated like children” by Ms Green and their complaints “fell on deaf ears”.
“Background checks on staff” has to refer to Darren Mew of the cock collage, but the various, more “grassroots”, trans activist organisations condemned his sacking as victimisation of a transgender person.“More recently there’s been scandal after scandal after scandal at Mermaids, and a lot of them are like ‘well why hasn’t Mermaids done its due diligence of Jacob or their background checks on staff’. There’s clearly been some failure.”
Again, the sentiment among TRAs is that the LGB Alliance is an evil transphobic extremist group, and Mermaids were heroes for taking them on.Mermaids has also launched the first legal challenge of its kind seeking to strip LGB Alliance, a same-sex group critical of gender ideology, of its charitable status. This left some staff “confused as to why Mermaids was taking it on,” the source said.
The whistleblower seems to suggest that if these junior staff had been listened to, they would have improved Mermaids. But there is no reason to think they would have addressed the problems raised in the media, by MPs, or by clinicians concerned about Mermaids’ influence on GIDs. The complaints that the “trans community” has of Mermaids is that it is too conservative.“… More junior staff, the younger trans people who you’d hope an organisation for trans young people would support, are the ones most dissatisfied at how it’s being run.”
It absolutely is, which is probably why they targeted the torygraph with their initial PR push. Getting an even slightly favourable article there gives them a lot more strength to shape the subsequent narrative. It's probably not going to be enough though, and thank god for that.Maybe I’m being too cynical, but this feels to me like an attempt to whitewash Mermaids after Green was forced out.

Just wanted to say that you handled yourself incredibly well in both of those interviews. Watching Susie twitch next to you was hilarious. I find it abhorrent the way they (gaslighted? Loathe as I am to use the word) you for calling a spade a spade. What else do you call cutting off your minor son’s penis? Who’s offended by a mother calling out child abuse? Salute to you ma’amThanks @ChaChaHeels:BlackOnes
Not expecting an apology from Piers Morgan and Susannah Reid who told me off for being “rude and personal”, any time soon.
What you described sounds a lot like Granny Goodness. She also appears to be a Batman villain. Specifically, one who runs an evil children's charity that secretly puts the kids to work mining kryptonite.
(It's a crossover adventure with Superman, don't ask)
