General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Since nobody watches Nijisanji's Aster (no legit, nobody does! Indies on Twitch get more views) you'd not be aware of the fact that he puked his guts out during Ring Fit last night.

Context: Aster has been attempting to present himself as a femboy tryhard gamer and has been intentionally playing whatever possible on the hardest difficulty or aiming for the highest rank possible. In this instance, he set his Ring Fit difficulty to the highest possible. Not even Luca, the self-proclaimed athlete did this. Results are well... If you enjoy tiny Korean men puking I've got an archive for you.

Is Level 30 the max Ring Fit difficulty? That was the level Gura set it to back when she streamed Ring Fit early on in her career.
She actually survived two streams of it.

the problem with vshojo is they are trying to make themselves look different from major vtuber agencies while at the same doing everything every other agency does to compete with hololive. everything they do is almost always response to something another company is doing. vshojo is more interested in profiting off the anime trend while it lasts rather than making a unique brand.

I feel like gunrun understands that vtubers are going to be mainstream but doesn't understand what makes them special.

We love to meme that Fishman house of sad girls is poaching central when Vshoujo has made poaching literally their brand, i don't even know why they even bother with auditions

Do you know what you miss when you don't watch HolofightZ?

Glorious.

What's also glorious is the yabbit is now at 96.1k

I don't remember her saying anything like that but she did mention working in customer service (not only during this stream). During the Amiday stream she implied she was even in a managerial position of sorts.

I don't want to breed too many rrodents but if she truly did say what you think she did, it could be just a comment about her age and job perspectives shrinking the older you get.
I'll trust you and your word on that and say that I must have misheard her or misinterpreted what she was saying. We must protec the spider's smile.

This is an x-post from TVA. The formatting is likely fucked on mobile.

Our story starts with two Production Kawaii talents.

Peony had a 12 hour stream on 2022/12/03. She sung karaoke and played games with viewers. The event was apparently long awaited for her dewdrops, as one dedicated fan took time off work to view it as seen in the archive below.

The stream goes on as planned until a sloppy transition presents some interesting information. She took the stream down but I have an archive of most of it.

We can see Aletta's account on the left but who is its lunalia?

A benefit of League of Legends being one of the largest games in the world is extensive 3rd party match tracking. So with little fanfare, we can look up this person's account and see what they've been up to.

Here's an account on EU West that has match history with Peony. Note that getting to level 218 in LoL means this person has spent a decent amount of time playing the game. That being said, I think the next step is to just search the name and see what we get.

Streamer from the UK? We might have a bead on something. It seems her linked twitch was nuked but the account name was its_lunalia.

Main page is nuked but Google caches a lot of information on searches.

Interesting, now we have a face. I wonder what that YouTube video was in the search?

This is a compilation of Teamfight Tactics moments, a game that is played from within the League client. The clip starts at 2:17. Here is a local copy in case that video ceases to exist.

It seems like its_lunalia is Aletta Sky.

Sounds nearly exactly the same, had played with Peony, and started nuking accounts from orbit when Peony's stream was pulled. Is it 100% concrete? No, and there is still a lot of information to be collected. The TikTok videos in their entirety would make this more complete and I've read rumblings on /vt/ that there were even more videos by unrelated parties that featured its_lunalia that have now gone missing. There is also work to be done analyzing much of her past LoL history and seeing if there's more information to be gleaned. It is likely mortifying for both Aletta and Peony but this is just another lesson in opsec learned the hard way.

I will update the post on TVA with any more information I find.

And the acceleration continues as we now very likely have the sun themed wave to match Illuna's moon theming on the way.

I will once again pray for someone of interest to finally break the losing streak that niji waves have been for me for a while. I still somewhat feel sorry for some of the illuna members that have barely found their footing as it is and already staring down no longer being the shiny new thing.

If you count the pre-month debut they get (in which they are added to the Discord and other services to prep for debut) than they've been with Nijisanji for over six months now.
Well, if we go with that it still wouldn't be 6 months (it wouldn't hit the 6 month mark till the end of this month)

But even more realistically who on earth would count a month of them being cloistered on a discord unable to do anything public facing as a period where you should count it as "time where they should be standing out" which would place them at less than 5 months, no need to tack on some fabricated extra 1/3 of their career time to try and prove some point.

Like I don't enjoy them personally but there's no need to stretch time or place weird expectations about what they did pre-debut in order to say that.

And either way my point is just that I feel like the ACCELERATE release schedule just has to be daunting to be caught up in and I don't envy that facet one bit no matter who it is.

In that timespan, what have they realistically done of note or helped with when it comes with standing out? Made Enna apologise over a Chicken joke?

While I would have liked for iluna to have more breathing room, more so for Aster's sake, there is a little part of me that is excited to see if the hires have gotten any better. Most of iluna already have their dedicated fans, small as they may be, but I don't know how a new wave so soon will affect them.

The only one I am really concerned about is Aster because god knows what he caters to. Scarle and Aia have gachis who drop tons of money on them, Ren is the musician of the group, and Kyo and Maria have dedicated fans who stick with them. Aster seems to be the only one struggling to keep a consistent audience, so let's hope he can get his shit together before the new wave becomes people's new shiny toy.
