I've got a schizo theory about Kanye and the mask, and it has to do with the fact Milo is magically off the campaign shortly after he puts it on and that's an excuse for us to never see masked Ye and Milo in the same room. It's actually not surprising that megalomaniac super famous popstars would have an admiration of Hitler. The Nazi party perfected a certain kind of state authoritarian aesthetic that artist can admire, and when they watch old footage of Hitler ranting and raving to crowds of people watching with baited breath, they can relate to it. A big name playing a 10'000+ dome show is not unlike an old fashion Brownshirt Parade. And lets just admit they are going to get fucked over at least a few times by lawyers and business people of a certain ethno-religious group.
People in this thread already brought up Michael Jackson. Bowie also went though his own fascist phase. He was smart enough to wrap it up in a character and dismiss it as flamboyant theatrics fueled by cocaine. I actually could see "Ye" do something similar, where in a few months to a year he makes an apology, drops the name "Ye" and goes back to "Kanye" or some new name. I think that's why he is doing all these explicit pro-Hitler interviews in the gimp mask and gloves outfit. If you watch his recent interviews before Alex Jones, most of his Jew talk was largely moderate, mostly wanting black people to be on an equal footing with Jews in the entertainment industry. Now with the mask on, its almost as if it's not "Kanye", the rapper who you still put on your workout playlist, it's a whole other person named "Ye." It's like he is giving himself an aesthetic out in case he wants to backtrack.
