Looks way more scripted, and the characters look animated rather than live mocap, also more targeted to preteens rather than little kids like cocomelon is.
I'm not really sure what the point would be of unscripted live streaming for kids. Even if you let them chat, what input are they going to have? And how are you going to moderate it? Would kids even understand moderation? Plus you can't get donations from an audience of 8 year olds. You'd be forced to deal with all kinds of headaches and risks for no real gain.
You're better off doing what they're doing, just pre-filming and editing videos that mimic the style.
Vtubers are just a sort of branched off evolution of the e-girl. And it makes being an e-girl (or an e-boy in growing trends) all the more accessible for the people who aren't exactly photogenic. This, in turn, encourages those people to start showing off more of their real selves through some means or another. And we may get more and more newcalf behavior out of these people because of it.
Tbh I feel like if anything that will make these people less likely to engage in cow behavior, because they know they can be easily replaced.
They're also going to be pressured into getting involved with an established talent group/virtual corporate brothel because they need marketing power or attachment to established names to rise above the chaff, and once they have management they're going to be forced to stay in line or else.
Let's not forget that in many cases these characters are created, owned, and marketed by the agencies themselves. The girl is basically just a paid actor who auditioned for the role.
As vapid as regular e-thots can be, I think they're going to tend to be more interesting. They get used to being attractive and it starts making them act stupid because they think they can get away with it.
Meanwhile some mousey girl who otherwise doesn't get much attention and has handlers breathing down her neck constantly is going to be a lot more likely to control herself.
The audience might act more like idiots, but I don't think the performers themselves will.
