Sad news about Patrick.
I have genuine advice about how to make Wogglebug and Frogman appear as very close friends and intellectual soulmates that are also, 100%, without a doubt not in a homosexual relationship: have the Frogman confess his feelings for Wogglebug and be rejected.
This will work. It is the only way. The Elton John biopic "Rocket Man" does this very well. Elton confesses his love to his song writer and artistic soulmate Bernie, and Bernie, heartbroken, explains that while he loves Elton very very much as a friend and always will, Bernie is 100% straight and they simply cannot be. Then Bernie writes "Your Song" for Elton to sing. It's about the mushiest, sweetest gesture of friendship that a straight guy could give. And you leave the movie knowing that Elton and Bernie were not in a gay relationship and never will be, but still remained the best of friends for decades.
The compromise here, of course, is that one of them still is gay, they're just not gay together. And that's okay, because you're not a homophobe, right Cynthia? If you don't want Woggle to be gay, he doesn't have to be, but the only way to prove it is to reject the romantic advances of the person he is closest to, because that person is male.
I'm quite serious in saying it's the only way this will ever be put to rest. Because as it stands, the gay sex vibes here are palpable. And having them argue about anything is just going to make those vibes stronger.
I look forward to being ignored.
