Can't believe this didn't get posted overnight, but /b/ either got hacked or had a rogue janny turn the board into half life. Can't archive it seeing as that I was asleep when it went down. Hilarious either way.
This isn't the first time this has happened. It's /b/, powerjannies can do whatever they want to it (although they do the same style of retarded shit on other boards from time to time too).

I got a 30 day for "ban evasion". Totally made up, but I was posting some information about state law in the Rittenhouse case and I guess the mods didn't like I was going against the shill posting, "Guys, I think this is it. I think Kyle will get convicted" 10 times a day.

A couple of months ago I got a 7 day ban in /g/ because I pushed back against the obvious astroturfed Rust shill threads. It turns out that the mod over there is not only an Apple shill but also likes to shill tranny topics (like Rust and their non-binary crab mascot). The mods are clearly aware of the issues. And that's the best case. More often I think the mods create the slide threads.

You're right today, but it wasn't always true. Communities like 4chan are victims of their own success. If they stay small and don't attract attention then they won't have normies shitting the place up. But if they don't bring in new people there's a real risk that it will wither on the vine.
The day I got fed up with 4chan was when I decided to post leafys dox at the height of the Idubbbz drama. This was just a harmless prank (and I didn't know the farms existed) but it was such a fucking gay thing.

someone on /g/ said people were posting actual pizza in /b/ ai lolishota threads or something. i don't know and i don't want to know, but they said that's why the half life stuff happened. i dont know the connection

I just can't take the endless repetition any more. Years ago i would crack a smile even at the 100th daily CARMELLA CAN YOU PLEASE SHUT THE DOOHOR! thread on /tv/, now it's just tiresome, 4chan got so shitty that not even the "Don't forget, you are here forever" meme holds up anymore. 4chan is also creativly bankrupt compared to not too long ago, not like when, for comparison, anons came up with new twists on the "the electric jew" and /ck/ was flooded with >drinking the carbonated jew and OP's like that. Not genius level humor but miles above Goyslop.
The website is fortunate that AI image generation has advanced to the extent it has because it's the first time I've even seen genuine OC from the place in actual years (outside of /qa/). Still not enough to save the place unfortunately. Think I hit my own breaking point today after seeing an old archived thread on 9/11 and remembering how much better the site was even post 2016 election. Then I went back to the site today, saw the same jokes and topics for the millionth time, and then saw some spergs talking about Jews and how awful American history was in the same breath. Makes me feel like everyone that made the website fun or interesting has already abandoned ship and I have only been hanging around in hope that something might change.

I checked the page from Feb 20 2021 and didn’t see this posted but I’ve had these screenshots since then. I think about this almost every day. Does anyone remember the cum tub?

what the actual fuck happened to 4chan? legit every thread on the boards I like are just people derailing from the point of the thread, derailing to Troons, and fags, and ZOG, and this and that. Everyone is calling each other a redditor and the like.

When the Farms was down these past months, there was some discussion about it on /pol/. Half of it was cheering it on while the other half was "You idiots realize we're next, right?"

Speaking of which, I legit believe 95% of modern 4chan users are redditors in denial, the fact that they think stuff like Encyclopedia Dramatica is "reddit shit", it just leaves a hole in me knowing how bad that website has become, if you tell people to stop /pol/posting on shit like /v/ or the like, they get mad and call you a redditor, the only way to possibly save 4chan at this point is the nuke /pol/ and see where they end up.

Don't forget tourist, being spouted by people that probably haven't been on the site for more than 2 months, ESL, though honestly it's one of the least misused terms, and going off that boat a bit notorious posters trying to derail threads with botposting.

On another note /an/ is crawling with zoophiles. The threads on foxes or deers should be avoided at all costs. I guess I should not be surprised.

I feel like /pol/ became the lightning rod of 4chan going to shit. Don't get me wrong /pol/it's just feds, bots, edgy Redditors and some schizios. But the other major boards did not help, and gook moot doesn't care/did not stop the issues
Another issue could be the reputation that 4chan has been a troll haven and everyone being the troll, not discourse can happen.
Also, gay ops by other websites and discord servers made it harder for legit communications.

I always think of this image when you brought up the troll culture of 4chan.

I mean, when you really think about, 4Chan is pretty much reddit for internet edgelords. Just look at the similarities:
  • Both have their discussion topics sectioned off into subforums (4Chan with /v/ and /ck/. Reddit with r/games and r/memes)
  • Both have a generally shitty moderation
  • Both are mostly despised by the wider internet (4Chan moreso than Reddit obviously)
  • Both have had their fair share of controversy
The only major differences between the two is that reddit has subforums for everything undersun, tamer users and a reputation for being an echo chamber.

And on Reddit you get banned for calling someone a faggot, whereas on 4chan it's compulsory.

/c/ is good.

If you told me that from 2016 onwards /pol/ would-
-start supporting islamic groups like the Taliban
-turn their backs on nations they called "based" and the like as with Poland on a whime
-simp for a nigger running for president and his gay spic friend
-hating a neo nazi group fighting to protect it's nation as with Azov
-and support Communist governments like China
-and start hating people wanting to own guns as with the shitflinging between /k/ and /pol/
I would've called you a fucking fag, but real life is chaotic, I honestly fear what retarded takes /pol/ will come up with in 3-5 years.
