When pissa was moved to deathfats I was in deep contemplation of rehoming my cats. I just did not have the physical energy to take care of them anymore. I have a service dog in training and that takes every once of it. I have seizures. Between the 2 and keeping the apartment maintained.
My roommate wasn't holding up his end of the deal and changing the litter and bringing it to the dumpster. I had no issues, scooping, feeding, etc. Picking up the pans and then carrying the 40lb bag down the stairs (I will NOT bring bags of cat shit in an elevator) and through the parking lot was just not feasible anymore. I was tired of fighting with him every week to bring the new litter out of his car. Then to change it. Then to bring it to the dumpster.
I did not want to get rid of my cat AND HIS cat. But I did. (my roommate is autistic. Brilliant af. PhD in math but can't keep his room or bathroom clean. Catches stuff on fire cooking. I have no idea what he does for work with computer networking but whatever it is they need him so bad they look over the fact that he barely bathes) They even went as a bonded pair being several years apart and one that hates affection from people. I was super picky and downright rude to some people who wanted to adopt them.

At first I laughed a lot at this bitch. This is the first situation I have not grieved not having my pets. Why. BECAUSE ITS THE BEST FUCKING SITUATION FOR EVERY BREATHING BEING INVOLVED IN THE SITUATION.

* Us so there is no longer the potential for us to get sick
* My dog is more focused and with her weight no longer pulling me on her waist tether in the house preventing injury (one cat antagonized her terribly. It was a good learning tool most days
* my roommate no longer has anxiety and internal meltdown from me fussing at him
* I no longer have meltdowns about the cats care. I no longer constantly struggle with redirecting my frustration regarding the cats or am waking up at all hours because his cat decided to bond to me in the last few years and wanted me to cuddle him at random hours in the middle of the night. If I locked him out of the room he would cry and scratch the door. If we locked him in my roommates room he would piss and shit everywhere.

I'm conclusion. When you love your animals and are not a shit person. Turning them over to be cared for properly hurts briefly but in the end God does it feel like a million lbs is lifted off your shoulders and you can move fwd in your life without constant stress looming over you.

Good lord, I take a microsecond off and Poorlissa just about goes viral in a better way than her dumb TikTok thing. I wonder what will happen when $3k fails to materialize out of thin air to pay for the vet. I've had a relationship with my own vet through three cats and 30 years and while they'd be fine if I needed a payment plan, I doubt they'd sit on their thumbs waiting for that much money if I were in her financial condition.

If Go ez either dies or ends up being confiscated she's going to hold on that much tighter to the rest of the hoard. At this point it isn't about loving the cats, it's loving how having them makes her look. The cunt.

Will admit to having a budget with a vet before. I presented said budget to said vet prior to hospitalization and treatment being enacted. Was for a darling little rattie (my goblin's first). She had a tumor removed from the base of her skull. My budget covered surgery and two nights of observation/stabilization. I suspect the doc gave more treatment than I could afford at the time - my budget for this sweet girl was $1.5K. Rat-girl lasted for 6 more months before a tumor formed in her noggin, and she danced over the Rainbow Bridge. Vet then did cremation and gave us a pawprint plate. I have the world's tiniest urn. And yes, I paid for it all up front. The vet used every last cent (hence why I suspect they went over budget and just said 'fuck it' to charging me more, as I didn't authorize additional treatment).

Had another time where I had a cat go in. They told me an initial price of $300 for imaging and kennel stay for the day since I was taking care of work bullshit. They called after that, told me that Dumbfuck McGee ate pine needles off our Christmas Tree, had impacted guts, and needed surgery. They quoted me a price of $1K for surgery and one night of observation. I authorized it, they went ahead, I came in to pay. They said she may benefit from another night stay for an additional $700. I said thanks but no thanks, because my pocket book was suffering. That was 4 years ago and the cat's still going strong, by the way, so no negative repercussions from bringing her home early (but then again, this place is clean AF and she was well cared for which is more than Go ez could expect).

Pissa can fuck right off. You know she never bothered establishing how much of a budget she actually had. And if that vet's reputable in any fashion, they would call and ask her if it was alright to proceed with surgeries/treatment and give a quote of what it will likely cost prior to commencement. If that's the case, she's authorizing treatment without the funds to pay for it, hoping beyond hope that TikTok viewers will hurl money at her or the Bank of Mom will pay up. It's Pissa's own damned fault that she's sinking deeper and deeper into debt with this particular establishment, because she's cashing checks she can't afford.

But then again, her (totaled) car, Renn Faire crystals and food, Witch Trot and Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowls were obviously more important than Go ez. Godspeed, sweet little guy. Hopefully your suffering will be over soon.

The more calls the veterinarian and animal control receive from random weens who really have no information other than "Polissa acts stupid on the Internet and it annoys me", the less likely they are to take the situation seriously.

For any weens or wanna-weens who might be lurking in this thread right now, before you call, stop to consider that instead of helping the cats, you are providing substantive evidence of Polissa's claims of abuse and harassment from people on the Internet. Sometimes, there is nothing that you can do to fix a situation like this, and your efforts may actually make everything worse. Every time the veterinarian or an animal control officer answers a call from some person who wants to inform them about an animal hoarding and neglect situation that they saw online, it pings something in the furthest recesses of their brain that says, "Whoa, I guess the lady wasn't lying about her crazy Internet stalkers, Jesus Christ these wingnuts should get a life". Maybe it's not a reasonable or even conscious response, but every call erodes the credibility of the concerns a little further.

Believe me, I understand the motivation. I love cats. I love my cats. I have been destitute. I have made incredibly difficult decisions that I didn't want to make with my cat's best interest and well-being in mind. This situation is enraging to me. I can hardly stand watching it unfold from afar, and I sympathize with everyone who is feeling an overwhelming desire to help the defenseless animals in this situation, none of whom, despite her claim to the contrary, chose to be involved with Polissa.

But.

I don't think that it's going to help for uninvolved people to continue to make calls. I know that people feel personally invested in this, but reading a thread on Kiwi Farms, or even directly interacting with Polissa on social media, doesn't justify your intervention.

Tl,dr: The more weening that happens, the more likely it is that the entire situation will be dismissed as some weird Internet slapfight and nothing will be done to help the animals.

This part bothers me a lot. So many people are struggling with poverty. So many people are still floundering in the aftermath of COVID.

She was already on a fixed income for years when she took on having this many pets. She knew she couldn't afford to care for them. She did it anyway. There are people out there who's situations drastically changed and they're doing everything to hang onto their pets while they make things better.

She choose to give these animals a shitty life from the get-go and expects asspats for it.
