Nintendo bought those out to shut them down, though. This is generally bad practice, though, because such porn parodies are usually legally defensible for the very reason that nobody would mistake them for official products.
So buying them out when they're created just encourages making more of them because you have a guaranteed buyer for the property. Even suing them unsuccessfully is less damaging than that.
This is why most sensible IP holders either ignore porn or only go after the really bad and less defensible examples.

I feel like most of the anger from this is gonna get aimed at Nintendo, because they're ultimately the reason this was discovered when it was. Rapp was probably fucking thrilled to have the chance to cry gamergate and get free money, but because Nintendo revealed that she had another job, the digging began.

What I think a lot of people (SJW's like Crawley, I mean) are missing is that moonlighting is against company policy at NoA. It doesn't matter what's between your legs, it's actively discouraged by the company.
