This reminds me of one of the site's reminders (and a good rule of thumb for life in general): If you have to tell others how better you are, chances are you probably aren't.

I've also never had to beg for a damn thing on social media, and I'm sure most of us on this thread haven't. And that isn't because we aren't 'poors' like you, some of us are.

If most people here needed assistance, they'd take advantage of the resources available to them without publicly e-begging or grifting and making themselves look bad in the process.

And I'm wondering if the IRS will tax Pissa's SSDI benefits because with Joh's income, it does affect their household income. And as this is the first time in a long time that he'll have to file, I smell a potential audit inbound.

I'll confess my first thought was that Josh working part time might mean his income falls below the filing threshold. However, he's likely having both Federal and State Withholding taxes deducted from his checks, so I'm confident Josh would undoubtedly want to file a tax return to get that money back - especially when a tax refund would help out a household who always claims to be too short on money. If and when that return gets filed, I'll wonder what kind of impact it will have on Polissa's SSDI and any other household benefits they might be receiving.

And if Josh is foolish enough not to file when he should, rest assured the IRS will know how much income he had in 2022 and do everything in its power to encourage him to file.

I'm cheering Jenn on because she's risen from the dead to be a thorn in Polissa side, I don't think she's an active farmer, at most a lurker. But also Jenn if you're reading this quit weening.

She offered advice instead of money, so of course Polly and her orbiters hate her. If I remember correctly, she has a background of drug addiction bad enough that she lost her kids. Then she got an inheritance, got her shit together, is reconnecting with her kids and runs a seemingly successful rescue.

If Jenn is a lurker here, hopefully she's learning to be more wise about her online footprint. Her blog shows she's an oversharer as well and her flickr (archive) is full of pictures of her breastfeeding her (now nearly grown) children.

The only unfortunate part of Jenn becoming involved again is her openly stating she's now reading the thread. She was Polissa's twitter enemy months ago, who found her originally through cat lady groups. Of course the cat ladies know about the farms because Pissa cried about it to twitter herself and opened that floodgate to curious onlookers to discover for themselves how horrific she is. That we know of, Jenn is not a user here, but a lurker for sure now. I don't necessarily consider it weening, just an unfortunate choice (for our purposes, but now it's in the open for others curious about her on tiktok).

I spent $3k once for overnight veterinary care with fluids for a cat. What kind of backwater hick vet is doing that plus another night and antibiotics for $300? The last time I spent $300 at the vet, it was the 80s and for a teeth cleaning.

TBF some small town vets are crazy cheap. My sisters cat was blocked and hospitalized for several days, they were prepared to spend several thousand, vet bill came to something crazy low like 500 for several nights, catheterization, fluids and antibiotics.

My work friend is still paying off her vet bill for the same thing in our city because it was in the thousands.
