What conspiracy theories do you believe in? - Put your tinfoil hats on

I'm thinking through one about weed that's been niggling me for a bit. Why is weed so propped up by people, but many, especially avid pot smokers, don't just admit that it's not good for you in certain ways? It's like the polar opposite of what happened to tobacco, tobacco used to be lauded for all these amazing properties historically until we found out there were health ramifications and then the propaganda came about how it's the worst thing ever and doesn't do anything good.
In fact, tobacco and more specifically nicotine does have some good shit about if it is intelligently used. It was prescribed for weight loss as it does suppress appetite rather well, it does clear your head and help you think, those with depression report that tobacco can help with that, some schizophrenics even report that it eases symptoms, and it's a great social drug at the right time and place. Obviously the link to health issues is true, especially cigarettes that are tons of other chemicals besides just the plant, good pipe tobacco and especially cigars have much less issues than cigs due to that and the nature of how you smoke those.
But weed was almost the opposite in modern times. All you heard growing up was that it makes you crazy, it makes you stupid, and leads to crime and illnesses and all that stuff. But now it's almost hailed as a wonder drug and you can get a medical card for an absurd amount of conditions that weed supposedly helps with little to no downsides. We know that is not true. One, smoked weed contains many of the same carcinogens tobacco does, not counting the additives in cigarettes, and has been linked to the same cancers as tobacco. Two, in some people, men in particular, it has been linked to schizophrenia as well as other mental illnesses. And three, it is certainly pretty addictive, albeit not as much as tobacco and in particular cigarettes. We can get into how cigs have been made artificially more addictive over time but that's a different story.
I'm super libertarian on drugs, so smoke whatever you want, but the way weed has been pushed and the lack of discussion about safe use is strange to me. Not like it's some big conspiracy to make us all potheads, but I do feel some propaganda is at play because selling weed is super lucrative not just for businesses, but also the state via taxation.
That's just my thoughts on it, I've done a weird amount of research on the health effects of both plants so I'm not just pulling this out of my ass.

See, I always thought the recent push for weed was due to two main factors.

1. On the lower levels, it's the Millennials (and the absolute youngest of Generation X/absolute oldest of Zoomers) who are rebelling hard against stuff like D.A.R.E and the more hyperbolic and downright cringeworthy anti-drug rhetoric of the 90's.

Seriously, a lot of the PSA's about marijuana in the 90's and even in the early 2000's made it look like it was on par with meth or heroin in terms of addictiveness and risk. So, these kids grew up and went overboard with their rebellion. Ironically, they began pushing the same kind of rhetoric as the "War on Drugs" proponents did but in the opposite direction.

The absolute failure that was the War on Drugs and how it made the crime problems worse in America didn't help matters.

2. On the upper levels, I think a lot of large private companies and state governments view legal weed as a massive money-making racket and push for this pro-weed mindset. I would not be shocked at all if a lot of the "Big Tobacco" companies were actually behind a lot of these initiatives since tobacco use has declined and become increasingly stigmatized.

Most tobacco stores nowadays also double as head shops and even before weed started getting legalized in dozens of states, they often sold paraphernalia openly with the disclaimer sticker "For Tobacco Use Only" and that became even more common in states that legalized weed.

That's what makes the most sense to me. A mix of rebellious pushback and good profits are usually a pretty solid incentive for pushing things to younger people.
I wonder if in the future weed will start to be seen as on par with tobacco, at least from a health risk standpoint.

Many schizo conspiracy theorists are being spread by the powers that be to divert attention away from the corruption happening in the open and under our noses. For example someone shared a video of Jacob Rothschild making a speech about “Controlling growth”. And the guy was framing it as if it’s about population growth but the guy was talking about ECONOMIC growth. So here’s an example of elites openly stating they want to control the world economy and the guy spins it into some satanic plot to depopulate the earth.

Another one I can think of is that I think JFK was killed by the CIA with assistance from the mafia.

“We took care of Kennedy” - Sam Giacana boss of the Chicago outfit

I think the government, particularly the left really hates black people.

I think they probably did push crack into their neighborhoods in the 80's and 90's, I'm positive they targeted black communities with abortion. I believe they used welfare to pay black women to not have husbands and then used the drugs rampant in their communities to arrest people.

I don't think the government did 9/11. I think they simply allowed for all the variables and circumstance that lead to 9/11 without specifically knowing what would happen or necessarily when.

I don't think we were in the Middle East for oil. I think we were there for opium. I think that's why no one talks about the Opioid Epidemic anymore since we're not really in the middle east anymore.

I think the new "conflicts" with china are being used to disguise the fact we're importing Fentanyl from them.

I believe Covid-19 was and is essentially fake and just a guise used to seize more power and civil liberties as well as push ideas like SBI.

The 2018 Election was not stolen, nor was the 2022 mid terms. This is only a technicality because in order to steal something it has to be something not freely given. The Uniparty wanted more democrat control longer and so we got the results they wanted.

The CIA is on record transporting massive amounts of cocaine and helping create the crack epidemic. That's not a conspiracy theory anymore. Look up. Mina Arkansas, the iran contra scandal and Barry Goldwater what you talking about?

its more than just that. the left hates poor people in general it just so happens that a fair amount of poor people happen to also be black.
There is no serious economically left wing national party in the us. Both parties hate the poor at their core but just take different approaches. The American Right generally gravitates towards a “they deserve to be poor” posture whereas the American Left just ignores them altogether or goes a Nate Silver route and obfuscates this through a supposed technocratic focus on statistics. They are both parties of big business but one represents big businesses run by robber barons while the other represents big businesses run by computers.

The Democrats get away with this because their sacred computers will never say “I hate the poor and they deserve to die” like a human robber baron might even though, at the end of the day, The Algorithms hate the poor just as much if not more.

Yeah, the misguided approach to drug education wound up somehow making weed into an actual fucking gateway drug. If the DARE lion lied to you about weed what else did he lie to you about? Let's crush some oxies and find out!

That's why I've always though drug education should focus on harm reduction and responsible use and not, like, trying to fucking equate weed with crack or whatever.

Read Brave New World. Weed = Soma. The ruling class loves it because it's the opiate of the masses. People willingly medicate themselves into apathy, which allows the ruling class to stay in power.

It's a tale as old as time, panem et circenses.

I heard the moon part of a soul trap to trick souls into reincarnating. I am somewhat skeptical of that theory.
I also heard the "light at the end of the tunnel" at death is really a "soul trap" to grift people into reincarnating in this world. Supposedly by knowing that knowledge, one can escape through "holes" to the real life beyond instead of going down that tunnel. Again, I may be somewhat skeptical of that theory. Also the theory is spreading.

It's the Prison Planet stuff, and yes it's getting weirdly popular. Basically the archons (lizard people that control the world) harvest negative energy so they keep human souls trapped here while making us all live in misery. The lizard people created all world religions to make sure everyone dutifully goes into the light and don't try to escape.

It's a cool conspiracy theory from a narrative standpoint but I don't know how ridiculously depressed you'd need to be to believe in it.

I think I went there once. If I did, it was gloomy or boring there.

(it was a brief stop on some road trip)

It is gloomy and it is boring. Despite being a notorious dysfunctional country with an ineffectual government, it is the headquarters of the immensely corrupt European Union, so all sort of Washington shenanigans go on there completely unreported. It is pretty much ground zero for lot of Klaus Schwab shit (though there are several "laboratory countries" across Europe).

It also, allegedly, has a quite extensively child trafficking network, coincidentally.

I think Belgium is creepy
Belgium is a country of compromises.. Nobody is content with the decisions but none of them are frustrating enough that people actually try to change stuff.
This has domino effect on the culture: everything works but nothing stands out as an example of efficiency. It isn't broken but the people are too apathetic to challenge multiple governments (and their red tape and bureaucracy) to change stuff. The country isn't decaying but it isn't booming either. It's just there. Trodding along. Everyone is doing their own thing in this mutual understanding of tolerance and a passive aggressive cold war. An unspoken hostility and "fuck off" hangs in the air. But Belgians are too polite to say it. They'd rather put up with shenanigans for a bit and just carry on.

This reflects in the social life as well. You don't make real friends outside of your youth. If you don't have an immigrant community to fall back on this is a very lonely place. Oh you might go for drinks with co-workers once or twice but none of them will help out with you moving houses.

So yeah, it's a creepy place if you don't know what is going on.

there's stuff like this as supposed evidence:

Reptilian Beings Emerged During CIA’s Interdimensional Experiments – Down the Chupacabra Hole

Also I've heard multiple people have had OBEs and saw the same stuff related to that, and there's supposedly the prevalence of the "black cube of Saturn" in sculptures around the world that supposedly symbolize imprisonment by an entity that supposedly lives in the 6th planet. If that "Prison Planet" stuff were true, it would make real life very "grimdark", kind of like the WH40K world were unprotected souls get attacked and consumed by demons in The Warp (hyperspace and also an afterlife in WH40K).
