Before anyone gets too excited - While a Q of greater than 1 (Q Being Energy in to Energy Out) is a great breakthrough and would silence the big question of whether the tech can ever work, a Q of 20 is the number thats usually looked at as "Economically Viable" last I was deep in the topic.
Baby steps. Hopefully humanity is still around when fusion reactors become consistently viable.

Fuck it, I'll take it.

I don't need it to be viable for another few decades as long as we don't shoot ourselves in the foot by demanding a full shutdown of fossil fuel production along the way. Likewise, every time I hear about Japan advancing their hydrogen combustion engine developments, I hear the same whiny electric-only bitches bringing up "oh uh duhhh da technology and da infrastructure can't support it"

No shit, but the market doesn't support or sustain EVs, and the government was fine arbitrarily forcing everyone to create infrastructure for them.

I'm a Chrysler fan (not currently, they're fucking up massively) but the Jeep Cherokee hasn't been good for 20 years.

I keep hearing a certain talking point about some boomercons and conservative voters in general.

That some of these kind of voters like "got tired" of the media hating on Trump, and cucked to vote Biden or stay home.

And that some of these kind of voters just like basically cucked in general and decided let the leftoids do whatever they want, so that they could get some peace.

Like gave up on their principles so easily.

I guess some voters like that, probably exist but are they a large portion of the American electorate or just a meme.

The only people I know that voted against Trump because the media kept talking about him were the ones that already vote blue no matter who.

It's less that, and more two fold situation.:

One group realized acceleration is the only way to stop kicking the can and I've heard some who voted for Dems for this very purpose. A gamble to see if they can cause a fast decline instead of a slow one. There were people pointing at this ~four years ago even on this site, yes they do exist and in sizeable numbers.

One group just stopped caring to vote after 2020. They realized the cheating shenanigans were in full force and Republicans gave no damn to fix it why bother. *This applies more to independents than just pure right wingers. Note: I mean non-center left independents as uncommon as they are these days.

The rest got turned off by boomercons, talking big, ignoring the cheating, etc. So they decided to either not vote or let the right lose, take a gamble and hope the demoralization would force a few hands.

The reason they gave is flat out wrong, although it's not untrue some boomercons and cuckservatives did vote Biden because of the media, but no one on the right wanted those losers in their midst. The kind who preach "I don't care about the browning of America" types.

The thing is normies started to want Trump back after all the damage Biden has done (well to an extent some believe voting either option wouldn't change the result) but it's not fully enough with at least the first group starting to grow larger.

"If you're unwilling to ignore policy and blindly vote republican, the evil people will win and you might as well just vote for the other party."

Loses election.

My view on that is Walker loses along with Blake Masters in AZ.

But a retard like Fetterman gets in over Oz, who won in a primary against other loons as the best the GOP could do for PA.

And Masters lost to a gun grabbing faggot worshipping shitlib who loves sucking CCP cocks, but I guess he is a astronaut.

Or that Alaska decided to vote for Murkowski rendering the talking points about their ranked choice to be moot, since she got a majority without needing much 2nd round help.

I believe those talking points would work if Romney and Cocaine Mitch get ousted in the next GOP state primaries.

Lefties hate Hydrogen because Hydrogen is a Nuclear partner, with Hydrogen acting as storage for the immense energy that you can draw from it. The storage problem (Liquid Hydrogen boils off to hydrogen gas, and hydrogen is small enough to leak out of basically any container) is a problem, but its also not a crippling problem for a country like Japan - even if we can't solve most of the boil-off issue, its an island nation where the supply of water (Salinity isn't a big roadblock) is functionally limitless.

Without Nuclear, Hydrogen is a pipe dream, as there's no sources of hydrogen that are net energy gains to produce that I know of. I've seen work on membranes that are supposed to massively increase the energy efficiency, but nothing at scale.

Hydrogen is far closer to economic use than Fusion at this point though, so its good to keep a thumb on. Fusion is facing theory and science issues, Hydrogen is mostly engineering and deployment issues. There's a lot of similarities between current Hydrogen and early Electric vehicles.

Now for my little Schtizo rant about politics and the elections. I only Vote GOP to oppose infanticide/ euthanasia and other woke nonsense . With non woke topics I think the conservatives lost mainly due to not being for anything policy or economic wise . I think mainly fail to realize the USA has 350 million people in it. The idea of everyone in the third most populated country can run off an homestead in rural areas is not viable and your a faggot if you think it is. I also realized that running to the woods like Tim pool is a sign of retreat and defeat and not of strength. This isn't doomer posting about the future. just a assessment that the idea everyone can move to the woods won't work and won't change things.

If the right can't come up with a positive vision of what they want. that realistically reflects the usa in 2022 they will continue to under preform. People do care about about climate change low wages, lack of affordable healthcare ect, but the normies dont care about woke or troons one way or another. If the right can actually solve issues voters the masses care about instead of just cling to "muh fossil fuels" when climate change is brought up for example. The normies wont care if the troons get ran out of town, if we can solve bread and butter issues they care about.

I think I have simply had to come to terms with the fact I live in clown world. In a career I could once predict things based on logic and reason, now instead these things are run by insanity and fraud. Wisconsin went exactly as expected, but we heavily cracked down on both. Everywhere else seems to be run by evil or incompetence. Or incompetent evil.

Arizona
Pennsylvania
Georgia now too.

Places where once you could accurately predict things, citing easily the examples and reasons for their actions now just... basically follow no rules. I'll eat plenty of humble crow pie and say boy did my predictions fail. My only defense is that my education and experience is in a world much less technicolor and with far fewer honking noses.
Lets be honest, the level of retardation from Pennsylvania was surprising even to me. What can you expect from a state that can't even do roads right?

I always figured nuclear would be the liberals green technology simply because it still requires you to get your power from "the state" and due to danger can be regulated to prevent competitors. Wind and Solar are mainly going to be used by off-the-grid libertarians for homesteading purposes.

When the electrical grid in major cities start to collapse the white people will move out into the wilderness and provide their own water, power, and sewage without requiring the support or approval of the state. If/when that happens I suspect there will be articles about "the racist reality of green technologies".
