Gee whiz, I can't imagine why.Mother claims no one will come to their house
I also really appreciate the nuances spelled out for us laymen. I didn't realize "profound" had a specific meaning, because I usually just hear it to mean "very."Quit apologizing for just telling the truth. I know, it's tough. You don't sound like a dick. You sound like someone who cares.
Because she's uneducated, not very intelligent, and has a child with a very rare condition. That's it.Can anyone explain why Paisley's mom thinks she knows better than doctors and nurses?
The nurses who came in probably called the family out on everything they were doing incorrectly (i.e., incorrect oxygen levels), and that probably annoyed them.Because she's uneducated, not very intelligent, and has a child with a very rare condition. That's it.
The doctors told her Paisley would die or have no quality of life. Forcing her to live means those doctors were technically wrong, which is the most satisfying kind of wrong for someone like Paisley's mother.
Also, being the only one who knows how to care for her daughter properly gives her a reason to stay at home and be a full-time caregiver/grifter. If no one else can care for Paisley than her, she has a reason to never work. Can anyone explain why Paisley's mom thinks she knows better than doctors and nurses?
Rather sure it all comes down to was told she would die and she didn't.Can anyone explain why Paisley's mom thinks she knows better than doctors and nurses?
Immaturity, arrogance, and like others said, she's not intelligent at all.Can anyone explain why Paisley's mom thinks she knows better than doctors and nurses?
What you’re describing is straight up, by the book how these companies direct women to recruit, too. They are told explicitly to use their life hardships (miscarriage, infertility, eating disorders, etc) to find communities online & then once they’ve gained the trust of other vulnerable people, use it to rope them into their downline. It’s absolutely foul.I think the MLM’s going after potato moms due to bigger than average follower numbers is some the most debased and evil shit I’ve seen in awhile.
Female-focused MLMs caught a lot of flack five years ago for targeting lonely,, low-income, single moms for their racket. Isolated, single moms on welfare are usually eager to find ways to make extra cash from home. But even after they realized they were spending money, not making any, they stay in the MLM because it provides a social circle and (insane) community.
They end up paying money to be part of a group who will be nice and supportive, as long as they stick to the shilling mantras and offer unquestioning enthusiasm for the “life changing” MLM. The heaps of drama, toxic group dynamics and catty shade gives them the dose of drama and excitement that had been lacking. One must pay a price for a dozen “yas queen” and fire emoji comments when posting a photo wearing your plastic paparazzi jewelry and Lularoe stretch pants.
For the evil potato moms it gives them a way to try and monetize the attention they get from parading their disabled child on SM. For the non-evil it becomes an escape from the isolation or way to have identify/social group unrelated to caring for a disabled child. They can RP being a girl boss for a hours every day till it bankrupts them or alienates all their real friends and family.
Yup. The groups also encourage a certain amount of venting/ pity party posting so long as it’s followed by how MLM has totally made things better. Selling polyester leggings totally brought you back from the brink after your miscarriage and boyfriend getting arrested. Trying to sell plastic jewelry transformed their lives! What you’re describing is straight up, by the book how these companies direct women to recruit, too. Oh man. This sounds so much like my cousin. Low income, lonely, not the smartest. Two kids and an absent husband.Yup. There is also lot of group commiseration about non-supportive husbands/BF and venting about kids keeps the faux- social bonding going. It’s really sad how many lonely ppl mistake being in a MLM for finding “their tribe” or believing it’s a real friend group, but “financial freedom” and faux-community (aka cult) are the key ingredients of any MLM.
(I like to visit flea markets and it educates me on the dying MLM scams, because without fail there are several booths desperately trying to sell their mountain of MLM stock they had to buy to get their stats. Then you eventually see it all donated to a goodwill or SA. My local charity store has its own Paparazzi and Lularoe sections they get so much of the crap donated.)
That's exactly what Melissa (Paisley's mother) does. It's all about parenting a special needs child and how difficult it is. How exhausting and overwhelming it is. Asking for a little bit of empathy and no judgment. Knowing these messages aren't necessarily coming directly from her (although I don't doubt she may feel this way) but from the MLM is mind blowing. What you’re describing is straight up, by the book how these companies direct women to recruit, too. She really does just lie down all the time. I started following her on IG a week ago and have already seen several photos of Paisley just lying there, watching TV, all day, every day. She moved her to a bean bag to watch TV, today, and it seems like that's the most action Paisley sees all day."
Mother claims no one will come to their house and driving to physical therapy is too hard on Paisley... They live in the Atlanta Metro area so I find what she says hard to believe... Mind you, this is the same person who thinks she knows better than doctors and nurses so maybe she's decided Paisley doesn't need therapy.
When asked why Paisley's always lying down, she said that's when she's most comfortable and sitting obstructs her breathing. She already goes through spells where she turns blue and stops breathing. So who knows, maybe trying to get her to sit would kill her. Basically, she's screwed and subjected to a grim existence until it's time to join the potato patch in the sky.
Apparently/allegedly her abdominal muscles are not developed enough for her to sit up without discomfort. She really does just lie down all the time. I agree. It's much better than the pics and videos where the poor thing is just staring up at the ceiling.I guess I'm not as bothered by the TV dependence knowing that she is barely sentient. What's the harm in it.
Or the videos where they're doing things to her that they know she will find upsetting and laughing about it. I still think about the videos from last winter when they took her out in the snow and recorded her crying inconsolably for the laffs.I agree. It's much better than the pics and videos where the poor thing is just staring up at the ceiling.
Wonder if they're ever a little rougher when the camera's off and she's crying?Or the videos where they're doing things to her that they know she will find upsetting and laughing about it. Dude, absolutely. If that's what they're willing to show the world, knowing damn well some people will see it as abusive, they do worse when the cameras are off. They would use her a sled til they crushed her with their overfed asses if they could make a lot of money off of it.Wonder if they're ever a little rougher when the camera's off and she's crying?
I hope you are wrong, and if you are not and it is confirmed, I will report your post for offensive reality.Dude, absolutely.
