ANN has many hilarious interviews in which u can see them trying to get a reply they want from japanese authors, and unltimately failing because the japanese are simply not ideology driven (well, at least not manye of them are).
If you can believe it or not, there are Japanese nationalist manga publications that aren't hesitant to egg on other nations and expats and immigrants, and while it's not surprising that they are not getting their own anime out of it, I'd fucking love to see a day when ANN interviews them and culminates into a brilliant circus shitshow of an international incident. They're practically Japan's equivalent of Ben Garrison, but in ANN's eyes that's all they see about Japan, along with whatever cum they guzzled from William Gibson and Blade Runner.
As someone that unashamedly loves K-ON! and Hibike! Euphonium (Tamako Market is pretty under appreciated, in my opinion), I’m glad Yamada did not fall for the bait. ANN is just proof that gāijin really need to learn when to stop talking. They’re confusing literal fantasy with reality.
