I don't know about that - many Catholics, especially Catholics who attend Traditional Latin Mass (which are often performed by priests who were in SSPX seminaries) are very aware of the crisis of modernity, in part due to Pope Pius X and Pope Pius XI. Pope Pius X wrote the famous encyclical "Pascendi Dominici Gregis" in 1907 which talked in no uncertain terms about the dangers of modernism. Modernism and all the problems that have come with it, the culture war, and so on are common subjects of homilies in many Catholic churches, although more common in TLM/SSPX churches.

Yeah TLM is a minority, but the sentiment isn't.
There is a culture war inside the Church just like there is one outside, and it goes all the way up, priests, bishops, archdiocese, cardinals. Also when you say 'Christians' are you lumping Protestants and Orthodox in too? I think if you talk to the average Catholic, even if they don't attend TLM, they are at least tangentially aware of the culture war and crisis of modernity.

"Traditionis custodes", the Pope's latest comments on the path of the Church regarding the Synod of Bishops, homosexuality, transgenderism being welcomed in, the ridiculous statements coming from the German Catholic Church, the list goes on - they would be aware of at least one of these things. These "normal Christians" with "normal families" you talk about, you meet plenty of them if you actually go to church, Catholic church anyway. And they are all extremely concerned and aren't as sheltered as you seem to think

The more recent Popes have pushed the new mass on to people in an effort to stifle the traditionalists. There are probably less than 50 or so SSPX churches in North America, so we really can’t get a good judgment on how many traditionalists there really are.

That's more because according to Church canon law you are supposed to go to the local parish assigned to where you live in, if anything it's historically unprecedented to allow different rites within the same region and have people pick and choose as if they were doing some kind of church shopping. Manic as he may be I'm sure Kanye has little motive to get involved with these extremely niche groups, or that he has a need to somehow feel "different" from surrounding Christians -- he sure seems to think of himself as different enough. Besides if he were to comply with the fact he can't marry again after a divorce then I'm sure stuff like obedience to what's essentially your assigned superior should be rather easy, and however unlikely a humble behavior sounds for one of the most ego-bloated men on Earth I still believe that's more likely to happen than the alternative of becoming a part of these religious-political contrarian organizations or to become involved with schismatic groups like the SSPX.

That's actually not a wrong belief, martyrdom forgives any and all sins in Christian theology. Of course there's the part where you typically die in a painful manner as part of martyrdom so it's not the easiest way to shrive your soul.

There was a Chinese saint who was addicted to opium his entire life, so much so he was refused absolution and couldn't receive Communion. However, he died for the faith as a martyr alongside other Chinese Christians during one of the persecutions under the Qing and was canonized as a result.

Christian martyrs are those who die rather than betray or renounce their faith. Some denominations would say that someone who suffers great persecution, like torture or imprisonment for their faith, would also qualify. Being suicided by the state for screeching about insurrection at the capitol probably doesn't count. Catholics (and funnily enough, Muslims) believe that martyrdom wipes away all sins; some other denominations might believe this too but I can't recall. Most Christian denominations would say that Christ's death paid for all sin and being skinned alive rather than saying "God no real" isn't necessary.
