I just keep cringing thinking of Pissa feeding live mice and rats to her snake. And not just because I've kept domestic ratties before and know how sweet those little fuckers are...

But because a rat can SERIOUSLY fuck up a snake. Even little mice can cause damage. If the little guys decide to fight before dying, their bites can easily puncture the scaly skin of our snek frens. Those bites are highly prone to infection, especially if their enclosure isn't kept sanitary (and you know this poor snake doesn't have a clean enclosure). Once infected, those bite wounds require veterinary care, resulting in either antibiotic treatments or, in the worst cases, euthanasia. (source - have a friend that actually lost her black rat snake to a live rat she decided to give him as a treat. Go figure.)

This isn't even counting any parasitic infections that can be transferred from prey to predator if the prey fed isn't from a reputable source.

I thought I was the only basement dweller, how wrong I was! No I was never thanked in any way but that didn’t really bother me because I didn’t want my info put on the internet for everyone to see. I didn’t ask for receipts because I was soft and trusted too much and didn’t want to offend anyone.

My own recommendation would be first running the story through a mod, verify your information as requested, and then they can help you if you'd like to contribute that information, but no pressure. If you're looking for a soft place to fall and someone to explain forum culture in general or have questions, most people in the Deathfats subforum are happy to answer in DMs or on their profiles themselves. I'd look at their registration and post history to get a feel for the person first, but I think most people here are pretty nice.
