If grilled on this point, Bob would probably say something along the lines of "I hate Twitter but I need to do it for my work, something a chud like you wouldn't understand. *inserts twenty smug emojis*" On the one hand, okay, I get it, sometimes you need to be relentless in self-promotion, and that means dealing with social media bullshit.
On the other, I hate to keep going to the "Drinker is the anti-Bob" well (okay I don't because it's always funny), but...
Drinker barely tweets at all, single digits most days, and he still gains hundreds of followers daily. Bob is obsessively shouting into the ether and loses followers more often than not.
And that's just Twitter alone, which Bob says doesn't matter. I'm assuming that YouTube views (which translate to ad revenue) and Patreon subscriptions do matter to Bobbo, and I sure I don't need to post another comparison to show who's trouncing who in those arenas.
Bob is simply too proud to admit he's addicted to Twitter's dopamine hits to migrate to another platform where he doesn't get that small but constant drip of attention. He'll keep bitching and moaning about evil Elmo and how Twitter is ruined but it also doesn't matter so who cares but all the chuds are going to take over and do racisms but they're obsolete and Twitter will go down any day now. But at the end of the day, Twitter is literally all Bob has to live for, and despite all his complaining, he'll never leave.

People like Bob, these "Thinkers", always act like forward is one lane. It isn't. I can tell you from my line of work in the welding industry, in the last few years, the quality of steel has gone down significantly post covid, companies are practically giving away money to anyone that can hold a torch, all so we can build their windmills and EV's, many of which the workers aren't even AWS certified. All this progress has done is mutilate children and create shittier products.

Furthermore he wants it as a EV. In the area he lives, which is currently getting buckets of snow, that battery won't last long in winter. The truck itself isn't terrible, it's a mini pickup, a Hyundai, solid, but even then I don't think Bob would know what to do with it.

It's basically a Pre-WWI view of progress, where progress in science was assumed to mean progress in society. WWI shook that up in Europe, because people realized, "Gee, maybe the machine guns and mustard gas weren't as positive for the world as we thought." I mean, I'm hopeful that the world isn't going to end in a nuclear war, an engineered plague, or some nanotech grey goo scenario, but those things could all happen. In that case, The Science(tm) espoused by the Thinkers wouldn't be such a positive. Bob, of course, has absolute faith that our brilliant leaders (except the ones he doesn't like) are leading us to a superior future and it's only the sceptical obsoletes holding us back.

The Laptop Caste such as Bob is apart of haven't seen what it actually takes to put their grand and illustrious ideas into motion, because they've never truly worked. I'm not even saying you need to get a job like mine, become a welder, more like, when was the last time any of these people went camping? I mean actually camping, no heated trailer, where a chainsaw is a luxury? It was humbling growing up being able to go out as much as I could, explore the wonders of my state, much of which is only accessible by foot. People like Bob would rather call upon some sort of new fangled electric plane to take them to the top of a mountain, not realizing that it's the journey, and the payoff of finally reaching the summit with you and your pals, is what matters most.
On that, though the laptop caste may design things such as the electric plane just mentioned, they aren't the ones building it. That detachment from reality can lead to issues, as I've ran into time to time with a blue print or two. You would be surprised the amount of handfitting and modifying that sometimes has to go into a piece when even the slightest dimensional fuck up is made, some of which are solved with the simple solution of hitting it with a hammer till it fits. Bob wouldn't get that. He would look at the blueprint in shock, dumbfounded why his prototype plane isn't working because The Science (TM) said it would.

From how much I've lurked before I joined the Farms, I think your summary is a perfect description of Bob: mediocrity at its most arrogant. His genocidal tendencies are the most alarming out of all of them, even amongst his peers, rarely do they go as far or have as many screenshoted quotes of wanting "the stupids" to die, at least where we can find them easily.
