Given there's not a single example of MauLer going after someone on something he agrees with but thinks they did something wrong, I'd say yes.

So I watched that video breaking down Southpaw's drama it was actually a very good watch and very informative.
The two guys discussing all that shit seemed like former fans fed up with the Efapspheres bullshit but gave credit where it was due even if they disliked a person an example being Wolf. They provided receipts and it felt like two guys who actually gave a shit that were probably forced out of the "community" due to having dissenting opinions.

I can summarize the video if y'all niggers would like but the main things I took away were that Discord servers should never be engaged with if you don't know those people in real life and that goes double for e-celebs. The amount of backstabbing gossiping bullshit I saw on display would make Highschoolers cringe. And Reddit should be nuked from orbit.

My mistake I miss remembered it was Jlongbone that he blocked not E;R. Don't know if he has been on an efap with her since. But yeah as others have said Jay is basically a ticking time bomb. What Mauler does is that he never schedules them together (they did appear during the Halloween "Final Destination" episodes, but we don't know when that was filmed and they don't really interact).

Mauler is basically in love with E;R. He'll never go against him. Also he's fat and has no spine.

Never. MauLer isn't woke, E;R is a friend (or at least someone MauLer enjoys too much to be critical of), and this situation currently doesn't involve MauLer. All of that combines with something MauLer will just ignore, assuming he even noticed to begin with. Synthetic Man mocking MauLer and God Of War Love And Thunder is what made him an acceptable target. His edgelord nature just gave MauLer an easy way to make people hesitate defending him in any way.

It's hilarious to me that the "friendship" is so one-sided. E;R clearly doesn't like Mauler as much as Mauler likes him. Just based on the clips of him on EFAP, I get the impression he realized after a few appearances that they're not as knowledgeable as he thought, and he just comes on to avoid offending them.
Watch any video of E;R's and if you can get past the edgy stuff, it's very clear that he knows how to analyse media beyond simple plot summaries. Even If you disagree on that, you can't deny that he knows the media he analyses front to back. Ask him about a line said by Aang in the 11th minute of episode 9 of season 2 and chances are he'll quote it word for word. He even reads the comics. Now ask Mauler about the source material of the Capeshit he watches and you'll be disappointed with his answer.
I bet he assumed Mauler was as good as him based on the unbridled rages, but then came on and realized EFAP is just a bunch of fart-huffing faggots who come together to hang out for 12hrs at a time under the guise of "criticism".

It's amazing to me how full of himself Mauler is. The best way to describe him and his videos is; "Just full of summary with no analysis." His latest video on The Multiverse of Madness is 6 hours long. To put that into perspective the audiobook for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is 8 hours. RedLetterMedia on the other hand can tell you why a movie like The Multiverse of Madness is bad in under a hour. The guys at RLM know that to make a critique longer would be self-indulgent which is what makes them professional and better critics. Mauler on the other hand loves the sound of his own voice way too much and makes his videos unnecessarily long. This is what makes someone like him a self indulgent joke who shouldn't be taken seriously by anyone.

This is totally a Mauler problem imo. He often has very little to say, but says so much while fellating himself.
It's entirely possible to make both a 6hr and 1hr video on the exact same topic, and have both be good. It's pretty common actually. Here are some examples

Totally different styles but both much better than whatever Mauler would've put out on VB.
What strikes me is that both of them know what they want to say and just say it, instead of trying to beat their personal best for video length with every upload.
Steak Bentley started by releasing a 30 min and 10 min video about anime........and then out of nowhere he releases a behemoth 3.5 hour video on Metal Gear Solid 4....and it's fucking great. Then he goes back to 30-40 min videos about Anime. He doesn't give a shit about video length.
The other guy barely engages with the plot of the shows he talks about, but gives you an in-depth understanding of the show that makes you actually want to watch it and see what he's talking about.

Again different lengths, same show, different styles. Neither feels boring or bloated.

For good videos like the ones above, the length is the product of how much the creator actually has to say about the topic and how much chaff he can cut out. For Mauler, the video itself is the product of a target length and how much chaff he can add.

Part of why Mauler infuriates me is the bad name he's giving to long form content. Luckily for me he's on the fast-track to turning himself into a complete laughing stock.

This is why it still baffles me that Jay looks up to him so much.

They have completely different styles, and clearly different views on the concept of "long=good". I watched his videos and enjoyed them before I ever heard of Mauler, which tells me that he doesn't even benefit from fan overlap. I know he's been acting like a troon on Twitter and EFAP lately, but the guy makes decent videos (when the topic isn't dumb boring shit like Lego Star Wars).

Jay, if you ever come across this, YOU'RE MILES BETTER THAN MAULER! You just need to drop the troon shit, drop EFAP and pick some more interesting topics and you'll be golden.

Up to this point I think I had said that Mauler could be "redeemed" if he actually sat down and made the videos he promised people he was going to, and dumped Rags. I'm taking that back now.

If we start with just the sloth that is his main channel, he's a piece of shit. I stopped watching his "edited" videos a long time ago, but I know that there are some people still waiting on him to finish up his Star Wars: The Force Awakens critiques. You know, the movie was only relevant like, seven years ago, but sure take all the time you need? Dude how does it take so fucking long to just critique the least broken or offensive movie of the trilogy? From what I understand, people were waiting a particularly long time for the fourth part of his critique. But between parts 3 and 4, mauler somehow found the time to do an april fools video, a two hour long video about Zack Snyder's bullshit, an hour long jerk off session for 'The Father', and a four hour long rant about the Black Widow movie. But don't worry, he was working super hard on that next force awakens video the entire time. Great.

Mauler's content is just plain irredeemable at this point, and I actually did like watching his soma and dark souls 2 videos which is what makes this so shitty. Considering that he previously called Joseph Anderson a faggot and then specifically did not apologize for calling him that, but rather just apologized for whatever offense it caused, I find it rich that Mauler would think it's a good idea to go after a /v/ tard over it. As others have pointed out his "friendship" with E;R is enough to call him a hypocrite in this situation, but his attempts to cancel Synth over this shit is just pathetic.
