The whole chess scene was obviously put in there to show how smart Woggie is. After all he's going for a "Fools Mate" or "that move that every person that has learned chess tries out at the beginning and people who don't play think it's really smart and cool". The fact that they're not actually moving the chess pieces is another thing altogether.

And yes, the sliding around on their seats and the magical way the tea manages to stay in the cup without sloshing around is a wonder to behold.

Still can't understand a word of what Froggie is saying though.

If you record Frogman's droning guttural gibberish and play it backwards, it actually becomes perfectly clear Latin.

If you translate that into English, he says something along the lines of: "Cherie should get a job and stop taking advantage of her relatives," as well as "This movie would be a lot better if you (Woggy) grew to be 50' tall, wielded Uzis, and breathed fire to save Genoma." Something along those lines.
