Who is going to drive out voters when they burn bridges with Trump and his base? No one in the republican party is likable like Trump. DeSantis is dead in the rust belt because all you have to do is show him smirking while he voted for the TPP. Dead in the southwest by showing him smirking like a good cuck when he voted against the border wall in Arizona. There is no path to victory without those states and they are 100% fortified because of the GOP. Without Trump there isn't even a chance to win in 2024.
With trump running in 2024 there is a 50/50 shot for Biden winning. With DeSantis it's 80% and near certainty a democrat will win in 2028. If DeSantis is the candidate they're running the same playbook form 2008 the democrats will win the house and senate too. The filibuster will be gone and federally mandated fortification is happening. Once they can force that on state elections it's one party rule just in time for 2030.
tl;dr if they prevent trump from running in 2024 the republican party is dead and good riddance.

I've never seen a real answer to this, so once more: to prop up DeSantis the GOPe are going to have him attack Trump, if not him directly by his association with ConInc. And you expect Trump voters to just fall back in line with Diet Trump, diet coke Trump jokes aside? Romney was the last straw (who voted against an amendment to allow soldiers to be reinstated who lost their jobs refusing the clot shot), and Trump won the nomination explicitly because of this fuck you attitude. You're playing chicken with people whose foot is flat on the pedal, especially younger people. And if you're true to being Trump without Trump as DeSantis tries to show, and cares about getting results, would you honestly as DeSantis run in '24 knowing you're going to cause a real damaging rift? Yes to that shows you just want in on the grift in a way that's even worse than NFTs.
I wish there was someone out there who would do a real debate about this to make people see the implications, and why it's so fucking stupid they won't just work together for '24 on the same ticket. Trump isn't the one forcing a wedge. And you're going to let McConnell and Paul Ryan again fuck things up for a generation or worse than just the senate (there's going to be more supreme court seats in 3-4 years).

I don’t really know anymore. Joe Biden got 80 million votes by running on lockdowns and radical Communism. Someone going hard right might just "win" by being extreme in the other direction.

I've mentioned this multiple times.
When the economy crashed in 2008, Bush and Obama essentially put a tourniquet on a massive wound which was gushing blood. They turned Great Depression 2.0 into a Recession but did nothing afterwards to actually stop the economic collapse.
By doing so, they created the illusion of a recovery but instead only bought themselves time before the tourniquet came undone and the patient basically bleeds to death. The time frame being that sometime in 2030-2035, the bill will come do at long last and NOTHING will stay the Great Depression 2.0 from hitting in full force.
As such, the left and corporate america have been going full steam ahead setting up the "Great Reset" and related SJW/environmentalist agenda shit in the little time they have left before Gotterdammerung hits, so that when the global economy collapses ala 1929, that the left will have the system in place to create a new feudal system to preserve their power and status quo, because they know damn well the hell that is coming and that they will be made to pay for their crimes unless they cripple the masses so they can't rise up when the apocalypse hits.

Ah, but why will the depression occur in 2030-2035? What did they do to kick the can down the road, and why can't anything be done to fix the problem before the collapse?
Reading all this vaguely makes me think of the Debt Market and a supposed inevitable collapse of it (which would destroy the Western economy overnight) but I don't know enough about it to remember it fully.

Trump is not going to make a serious 2024 run. His strategy is to rip off his shrinking yet increasingly devoted fanbase while pumping up his own chances so the DeSantis (or whoever) campaign writes him a yuge and bigly check for him to drop out and give his endorsement. Stop the Steal netted him $200 million, I bet he’s wanting tens of millions of dollars for an endorsement, with a stretch goal of Stop the Steal-type numbers. He’s going to be the bull in the China shop until he gets paid off. There will be plenty who will buy whatever Trump peddles. I no longer feel sorry for these people.

There have been, over the last couple of years of vague threats of an "apocalypse" coming from the left; often hedged in climate change talk, about how "shit has to change by 2030/2035 or we are all doomed!" to justify the pushing of a lot of anti-life shit like "you'll own nothing and be happy" and banning gas fueled cars, etc that reek of setting up a new neo-feudalism system.
Also, adding to this is the fact that the economy has been kept alive via spamming cure/revive, Peter Pan "clap your hands audience members and we can revive Tinkerbell!" force of will, and a huge amount of duct tape/glue that we are now running dangerously low on.
Hell, one can argue that 2020's Covid debacle was the last trump card they had to play in terms of Jewish tricks to try and keep the economy from exploding in their faces. Desperate controlled demolition to do damage to mitigate the carnage of the impending collapse and by them maybe an extra couple of years while using relief checks to test run UBI to keep the masses pacified/boost signalling SJW bullshit via Floyd to silence critics to the anti-life death kult and enshrine more anti-life anti-white bullshit culturally even as they stole the election from Trump (who put them four years behind schedule beating Hillary).
You can only keep a zombie economy going for so long before the spell stops working and the corpse rapidly decays in front of you and falls to the floor looking like the corpse on the DVD box cover for Lucio Fulci's Zombie.
