Honestly, i believe that all the "aid" in Ukraine is mostly a ploy to empty out the storage to make room for new stuff. I'm specifically talking about the military equipment mind you. Think about it, all of the equipment that was sent to Ukraine was super old shit that some of the time comes in really poor condition.TL;DR......The Ukrainians are barely hanging on![]()

NATO will have to sell the shirt off their back to meet this new demand.
Contrary to popular belief you can't just vault equipment indefinitely, you need to store it well, periodically check on it and periodically make sure the bunkers HVAC didn't break down or that the drain system didn't get clogged. Not to mention actually guarding the place. It also makes it harder to convince the gooberment to buy you new stuff. So you get rid of that and suddenly you get rid of a lot of problems.
As a bonus you also actually get to see how the equipment would work in practice under sub-optimal conditions (being operated by 73 IQ slavs).
The issue really isn't that they want 300 tanks, get a couple comblock countries together and i'm sure they can pull 300 mostly functioning tanks that had been in storage since the 70s. The issue is that they want 300 brand spanking new gen3 MBTs which is simply never going to happen.
