I'm doing a bit of digging on Google and while I'm not certain, I'm guessing it's referring to the fact that his sponsored Gotham Knights streams from a few weeks back had Hasan in them, and not that there was any direct sponsorship from Hasan himself.
Just googling "jerma hasan sponsor" ends up with this thread being one of the first results I've gotten (after the vods in question and a couple Reddit posts), so I assume anything more blatant would've shown up beforehand. Of course, that's just my take, I can't say I know a ton about it myself.

If anything, I'm more surprised he accepted a sponsorship for Gotham Knights. He really has sold out hard. It just sucks cause, as discussed a while ago in this thread, he used to say he DIDN'T want to end up like this. But greed conquers all in the end I guess.

i’ve only gotten into jerma this year and i’ve been having a lot of fun listening to his streams on youtube, especially since the only other people i watch play games are oneyplays and corey’s been sapping my brain cells lately. i don’t really keep up with ads and sponsors and stuff so maybe that’s why i don’t see much of a difference between his new and old streams? either way, the guy has genuinely been a treat to listen to especially on bad days.

And while I can ignore the bad for the most part, when every other stream is a mediocre cashgrab, or unbearable fan service like the cat boy stream, and he starts streaming with repugnant """people""" like Hasan, and he starts getting porn sponsorships (Fansly), I can't watch him anymore. It's such a rapid departure from what he was making just a year or so ago. I'm glad you're enjoying it but I can't anymore.

Like imagine if Oney started doing collabs with Vaush, or if the gang started doing sponsored content where they had to pretend to like a game for three videos straight. It just isn't them at that point. Why continue watching them at that point?

I don't even quite understand why he feels the need to take on sponsors now. Has he said it's because he wants to fund future stuff like the doll house and baseball shit? Judging by his leaked earnings from 2021 I don't even think he'd necessarily need the extra cash.

Ever since his "Back Issues" and the edibles bullshit his content has dropped in entertainment and quality for me, it's quite sad because I think he could have been up there amongst the best content makers if he had kept his original channel alive even a little and used 2nd Jerma as a stream archive.
The trannies and weirdos infesting his chat seemed to explode with the catboy cancer it was like adding gasoline to a dying flame.

I still remember the days when he would actually put his foot down and go "no, I'm not using face cam" and only used it for a select amount of streams. But that and the combination he now has to act more like an idiot to appease the neurodivergent zoomer crowd, means he must now have a camera on his face at all times.

People keep saying this, and it's not going to happen. I think we all need to accept he sold his soul to the devil that is Twitch mainstream. He will do these collaborations with people who have to act 24/7 to the point that their original personality no longer exists. He will continue to pander to his fans and exaggerate himself. And he will associate with every single type of deranged person because they give him money. It won't be until that stalker from a few pages back or someone similar actually tries to pull a Stan situation and invades his personal life that I think Jerma will need to take a step back and realize what bed he made for himself.

Jerma had a really nice thing going but nothing lasts forever. He's nearly forty so I imagine he can see retirement on the horizon. That's the way I rationalize his immense grifting, anyway. Honestly more power to him, I don't blame anyone for wanting a comfortable later life. On that note, I wonder if Jerma has kids? If he doesn't he's got to look out for himself in old age so he'll need all the shekels he can get.

Man, are we ever going to see him stream random Xbox/PS2 era games again? Those were always some of my favorite streams. I loved watching him power through the PS2 LOTR games and sitting through 9 whole fucking hours of Seaman on Dreamcast. Kinda crazy his Thing stream was only 3 years ago and it feels so different than modern Jerma. I still enjoy his streams, but he kinda turned into what he used to parody.

How high do you think the chance of Jerma trooning out is?

It's pretty low right now. If he maintains his popularity I have doubts it ever happens. But if his fanbase outside of the rabid trannies starts leaving, well.. I still don't think it'd be that high but it would become a much greater chance.

I haven't really watched his streams in quite a while, beyond just checking in for a few minutes. Re-watching some of the older videos just kinda makes me sad. Why couldn't this have happened ANY other streamer, why Jerma? I know it's dumb to be sad bout it but it's such a fucking shame.

Enjoyed most of it, but I skipped around most of the awards. The schtick of "isn't this category so stupid LOL" got old a couple years ago. No opinion on the complete stream yet.

Yes and the beaner streamer was still a better guest than Ludwig and co.

Probably my second 'favorite' recent production style stream next to "Who will replace me?". Not saying much because the rest were unwatchable.
