Gee, it almost feels like the whole wearing dresses (and you can't stop me) thing was always a dominance move. A play to show off everything that he could get away with. Now that everything is falling apart around him thanks to his own hubris he can't afford to hunt for more euphoria when he's busy struggling for his life.

Brinton has been an especially hateful enby to me because he so clearly chooses outfits that emphasize his most unappealing features. Especially giant skull and his fishlips. He clearly got off on making other people uncomfortable and now that he no longer has the backing of the powerful he's trying to hide the things he loved to flaunt when it suited him.

Currently in my local high school, the big ftm names are Ted, Theo, Ed, Eddie, Dan.

in one grade 11 class alone there are 4 girls identifying as male and all three of them are Dan, Ted, Eddie.

edit: this makes me sound like I am in high school. I am not.

Relevant to topic in a way on the Theo thing: there's a character in Sabrina the Teenage Witch reboot that is a bit of a sporty tomboy, at first, and then decides she is trans after some character development.

There's even a monkey's paw-esque episode w/regards to stealing a potion to transition... as most adult trannies would, in a fantasy genre.

Huh, I thought fans started hating on Eddie's actor because he was caught vaping and something to do with his ex girlfriend. And then he came out as bi and now wears dresses and make up for the red carpet or whatever, but he still wasnt forgiven LOL.
Also; Theo, is coincidentally the name of The Goldfinch's protagonist. The coprotagonist is ALSO played by the kid who plays Richie and Mike Wheeler, so the fandom is the same pretty much. The name was probably popular with TIFS for other unrelated reasons but im sure The goldfinchplayed a part. Its exactly the 'dark academia tumblr softboy homoerotic' stuff TIFS eat up.

Very good point. Initially, an elaborate committed troll seemed unlikely just from a probability standpoint but as time goes on with no other story emerging, it seems more and more plausible.

People have come out defending his actions conceptually, but no one has gone on record saying “I’m her friend or lover from such and such community and she’s so great and true and honest” If he was as big of a whore for attention as his manner of dress suggests, he’d be courting the spotlight more and giving every interview he can about his true womanhood. The fact that he isn’t seems to suggest that he wants to drop the act eventually and wants to protect his exit strategy.

Even in Canada, I can’t believe it’s still flying. It seems like troll or not, TPTB would want to do what they can to make a show of “look, see, trans people can’t get away with literally anything since we took action in this one egregious case” or make an example of his out of spite if he is a troll.
