Now that the 2022 world cup has ended, the next one is going to be hosted in 2026 in America, Canada and Mexico.

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene attacked fellow MAGA Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert on Monday, accusing her of engaging in petty feuding, while also taking a swipe at her narrow margin of re-election.

Greene's ire was stoked by a video showing Boebert with Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk at its "AmericaFest" event.

Kirk asked Boebert and Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, also listed as a speaker at the event, what they thought of Greene's endorsement of Rep. Kevin McCarthy to be the next House speaker.

Neither Gaetz nor Boebert were fans of the idea. While Gaetz politely disagreed, Boebert was more personal.

"Well you know, I've been aligned with Marjorie and accused of believing a lot of the things that she believes in," said Boebert. "I don't believe in this, just like I don't believe in Russian space lasers, Jewish space lasers and all of this."

The remark was a reference to a since-deleted 2018 Facebook post in which Greene speculated that that year's wildfires in California were caused by lasers controlled by politicians and Jewish bankers.

Greene took exception, and responded to Boebert by tweeting the clip while noting that the congresswoman "just barely came through by 500 votes" in the 2022 midterms despite support from Greene, former President Donald Trump, and McCarthy.

Boebert survived an extraordinarily tight race for Colorado's Third Congressional District in the midterms.

The contest was close enough to prompt a legally-required recount, which confirmed that she won by 546 votes.

In her thread, Greene complained that Boebert didn't endorse Trump or McCarthy even after she "gladly takes our $$$" in getting re-elected.

"And she childishly threw me under the bus for a cheap sound bite," Greene added, in a likely reference to Boebert's "space lasers" quip.

"Americans expect conservative fighters like us to work together to Save America and that is the only mission I'm 100% devoted to, not high school drama and media sound bites," Greene said in a third tweet.

Boebert did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

Boebert, Greene and Gaetz — who all sit to the far right of the Republican Party — have long been grouped together, but reports emerged in April of a rift between Greene and Boebert.
Politico reported that the pair got into a heated debate over Greene's attendance, in February, of a white nationalist-organized event. According to the outlet, Boebert dislikes being associated with Greene.

No, there is no logically consistent reason under the First Amendment to ban child porn and allow adult porn. Banning either type of porn is an infringement upon free speech. The child porn laws are on incredibly weak ground constitutionally and Congress was warned about this when they created those laws and again in the dissent in the court case that upheld them.

Under your logic, all we need to do is ban adult porn is to declare that creating porn is abuse and make it a crime to film, distribute, or watch it. We’d just be protecting victims, not infringing on speech.

Also, since children cannot consent to work, any movie with child actors should also be illegal, if that was actually the standard and not just an excuse to ban something abhorrent.

I’m not defending child porn, but under a strict reading of the constitution it would have to be legal to distribute and watch it, though you could charge the creators for the crimes they committed on video. Under a less strict reading of the First Amendment, there is no reason why adult porn must be legal. The only reason why adult porn would stay legal if a law was passed to ban it is because most modern judges have zero logical reasoning ability and because porn is popular (Hmm…I wonder why the press is trying to normalize pedophilia…)

Any sexual activity with a minor is illegal, ergo any recording of said activity is also illegal. Why? Because it is clearly pornographic and it is a means of extending the abuse from the original incident as much as humanly possible. It is also clearly meant to stimulate sexual impulses in the viewer, as if they were committing the act themselves. It is the reason why child actors are kosher, but child porn is not. It is literally the nature of the material. Kid in a comedy movie? Fine. Pedoshit? Napalm.

The lack of constitutionality makes zero sense when you take into account that the federal law is in line with all 50 state laws regarding minors and sex, in spirit, if not in letter. That fact, in and of itself, means that it is very constitutional. All 50 states have agreed that this shit is illegal, for obvious reasons. The federal gov’t going “And my axe!” is a rare moment where it did its job, and reinforced state laws with federal action.
