Sony hate thread

After winning The Game Awards in the Best Sports Game category (and with practically no competition to it as well), Gran Turismo 7 has also won the Best Sports Game category on PlayStation's official blog, in the same practically no competition fashion.

GT7 also won a Bronze trophy in the Best Multiplayer Experience category, which is also lacking in competition.

Gran Turismo director Kazunori Yamauchi was also interviewed during the recently finished GT World Final, and pretty much said that the game was rushed. His “We just didn’t have the time to do it properly” quote seems to be more like Sony told him to get his thumbs out of his ass, and release a damn game, given the super-long development cycles that GT games have (5+ years for GT7).

Imagine winning awards for a game that sent copies without microtransactions to reviewers when they were already planned for consumers.

Will Spider-man 2 be the first new PS5 exclusive first-party? Or is that also coming to PS4 as per Sony's usual fuckery?
Spider-Man 2 is a game that came out in 2004 and I refuse to accept otherwise.

it's legitimately what they say "due to having more features", controllers are shit now because they're trying to stick motion controls, touchpads, microphones, speakers and a million other pointless things into them that 99% of games dont use
I wish a company would come out and say "Here's our dumb fucking brick controller option, it has no features besides you pressing the buttons and them working, it costs $20 and wont break for no reason"
I like the Xbox Elite. Just give me a nice wireless option, and some paddles on the back I can use so I don't have to awkwardly click the analog sticks. The only thing I need motion controls on a standard gamepad for is emulated PS3 games. As for touchpads, speakers, and mics, who needs that nonsense?

At least my boy EDF6 won an award and was unsurprisingly the most played title on Playstation this year.

Japanese gaming began taking a shit when they started integrating westerners into their teams during the PS3 era.
Those were the years i was turned off gaming actually, i still really hate that glossy ps3 graphics look.

Oh wow, a sea of endless gacha games. This sure is better than the microtransactions westerners pushed *rolls eyes*
are Elden Ring and Yakuza gacha? The only remotely cool looking AAA games coming out nowadays are japanese. The most interesting western game this gen is an indie cat walking simulator

Oh wow, even MORE Souls and Yakuza games. This is so great guys.

Seriously? You could at least pick something that isn't already oversaturated in the market holy shit
The ammount of seethe western devs spew towards it STILL makes it worth it, hope for 10x more oversaturation, keep coping.

To say nothing of people like me who never gave a shit about either horizon or From Software.

Not that they saturate the market, but I think that's all people play these days. You can set your watch to it. The japanese react to monster hunter like Pavlov's Dog while the west cannot get enough of running around aimlessly with a pointy metal and either get killed or fell a gigantic boss-like creature wth obnoxious health bars. Expect several years of souls/breath of the wild copycats.

Horizon devs cry at everything, so I'd like a better example of Elden Ring making *everyone* seethe. I recall most everyone singing nothing but praise to Fromsoft.

I have nothing against Souls games, but Fromsoft is the Ubisoft of the East at this point and to find so many weebs hail them as all gaming needs is fucking hilarious.

Ban americans from making games and restrict them to developing hardware only. Easy. I saved videogames
Counter-point:
dpr_2.jpg

It's a japan IP but an american dev team made it, so it counts

Americans can make great games, but at it's current state, the good ones are nothing but needles in a haystack of bad developers.
