And America. It's oddly convenient that all the territory targeted by Russia just happens to be full of gas and oil.

What will run out first, Russian ammo or stories about Russia running out of ammo?
This will make some intermediate hands in the BRICS very rich, once someone figures out the exact business arrangement to make it work. Only question is, who's willing to bend the rules the most?Putin bans Russian oil exports to countries that implement price cap
Lets see how that goes since:
Quote: "Russia is the world's second largest oil exporter after Saudi Arabia, and a major disruption to its sales would have far reaching consequences for global energy supplies."
price cap at 60 US$ per barrel starting Feb 1.
What the price cap means: "The G7 price cap allows non-EU countries to continue importing seaborne Russian crude oil, but it will prohibit shipping, insurance and re-insurance companies from handling cargoes of Russian crude around the globe, unless it is being sold for less than the price cap."
Of course, but those same "nuclear capable" bombers are already in use conducting strategic missile strikes.Engels also houses a good size chunk of russias nuclear capable bombers.
I mean what do you mean by "support"?What actually is the feeling of ordinary Ukranians in the West? My impression is that they're still quite supportive of the Zelensky govt. and it's stance on 'not one inch'. But it's always hard to cut through propaganda and he wouldn't have had to ban opposition parties and shut down news channels if there weren't significant numbers opposed, I would guess. Or maybe those are only represented by Eastern Ukranians.
Skeptical the oil cap will work.
Russia is too large and its resources too vast. The planet is too large and the potential buyers too many and often resentful against centuries of Western colonialism and meddling. Russia fucked with East Europe and Asia. Both (minus China) are already "the West".
The idea was to convince the shithole countries and the nignoglands to ditch Russia, which they likely won't.
Winning against Russia cannot be rushed, but this is something Westoid leaders are not prepared to acknowledge, as they expect to keep lying to their populations that things will get better "soon" - which they won't. Prices will rise steadily. There will be more conflicts for sure as tensions flare up, which in turn will make things worse and worse.
The only realistic way to win against large empire-like countries is essentially long term freedom fighting/terrorism/partisan warfare.
No Russian citizen should ever feel safe, the same way Westoids never felt safe after Bataclan and other similar attacks. There should be very limited actual war like there is now in Donbas, which I assume to stop sometime soon as US supplies dry up. There should be endless harassment of the Russian army, but also civilians. Yes, yes, no mercy, how many civilians died from "infrastructure missile attacks"? No fucking mercy. Russians need to understand war is real even in Moscow. Repercussions for Ukraine are irrelevant. What will Putin do? Carpet bomb Kiev? So?
And then you give it years, many years. How many years were Amerifats in Afghanistan? How many years it took for them to become demoralized and distraught? Decade+.
The economical BS is just because Westoid leaders don't want to acknowledge reality.
I see no other path out for Ukraine. So you are encouraging more terrorism in the era of the GWOT, when there is already plenty of glow op funded groups running around?
And the Russians have suffered through terrorism before through the Chechens and it just hardened their resolve during the aftermath of the 2nd Chechen War.
If we get a Metal Gear 4 style world out of all this where war becomes a commodity itself lol.
I see no other path out for Ukraine.
War is war. You kill or get killed. It ain't that complex. I don't get the pearl clutching, most people here demonized hohol pigs with wild abandon.
Russian lives ain't speshul
Get to work on that.
PS: we'll call it "freedom fighting" wink-wink
It's a potential undesirable outcome, but this is the unavoidable consequence of competition for resources.Do you have any thoughts on blowback or the war exploding to even bigger heights as a result of going down that road?
I doubt Russians are that stupid plus they already played this game in Afghanistan. Realistically they won't be able to go much further than they have now without starting to have to fight insurgent action as well. The population is much more hostile to Russia once you get out of the oblasts they're already in. They know that, or should know that at least, so it's doubtful they'll even try.I see no other path out for Ukraine.

Literally all of Asia bar Japan hates the west. What are you smoking?Asia. Both (minus China) are already "the West".
Most countries in the world decided not to ditch Russia. Most of Asia, all of Middle East, South America, India, etc. Even some European countries (like the Balkans) are trying to do buisness with Russia. Hell, all of Europe is still buying Russian gas and oil at a steep markup price from China. The idea was to convince the shithole countries and the nignoglands to ditch Russia, which they likely won't
There are many other ways. That alone often fails to work. For example, look at the Baltics during the Soviet/German occupation during WW2, or other resistance movements in Nazi Germany. The only realistic way to win against large empire-like countries is essentially long term freedom fighting/terrorism/partisan warfare.
By the same metric, no Westerner should feel safe after US/EU gassed civilians in Iraq, Iran, Syria, or just in general for US incidiery attacks against German and Japanease civilians (main battle plan was burning entire German and Japanease populations alive as per the Pentagon website (Japan) (Germany and Japan), US illegal war against Germany (as Rooselvelt admited to Churchill ("President Franklin D. Roosevelt told Prime Minister Winston Churchill in August, 1941, that he was looking for an incident to justify opening hostilities against Nazi Germany", "The President had said he would wage war but not declare it and. that he would become more and more provocative. If the Germans did not like it they could attack American forces") US war crimes against Japan, Japanease warcrimes against eveyone who ever lived, and past and current illegal US and European wars in Europe (during cold war) and in Middle East (during and post cold war).No Russian citizen should ever feel safe
I'm sure that flaming ethnic tensions won't have any bad reprecussions for Ukraine whatsover. Yugoslavia? What is that, some sort of a pie, maybe?I see no other path out for Ukraine.
It will work for as long as the vast majority of marine insurers are based in London or other western nations. An enterprising third party could try to muscle in on the market, but marine insurance is a particularly cliquish and unusual market at the best of times. It is quite literally the oldest form of insurance in the world and operates on very different rules to any other form of insurance.Skeptical the oil cap will work.
It's not just Serbs, the Hungarians in Transylvania sent a letter demanding autonomy to the Romanian PM, for example. It's easier now to see why Orban is playing his game, he hopes that a Donbas assimilation in the Motherland would allow for a similar process of restoring a Kingdom of Hungary of sorts, with the same trajectory - ethnic unrest, demands from the minority, autonomy, war and secession, need for external intervention to save the holy minority that stuck its head in deep.I doubt Russians are that stupid plus they already played this game in Afghanistan. Realistically they won't be able to go much further than they have now without starting to have to fight insurgent action as well. Serbs are trying to start smoke up north in Kosovo which i would like to think they aren't doing on Putin's behest but with how hard they dick ride Russia i wouldn't at all be surprised if it came out that this was a ploy to try and get NATO equipment to be shuffle around more instead of going straight to Ukraine. They literally do not gain anything from doing this now of all times, if anything they're taking away attention from the ex-KLA leadership being prosecuted which you'd think they would be all about. It would be funny though if this resulted in Serbia getting bombed again.
Not comparable.By the same metric, no Westerner should feel safe after US/EU gassed civilians in Iraq, Iran, Syria, or just in general for US incidiery attacks against German and Japanease civilians (main battle plan was burning entire German and Japanease populations alive as per the Pentagon website (Japan) (Germany and Japan), US illegal war against Germany (as Rooselvelt admited to Churchill ("President Franklin D. You cannot be serious. They are already invaded.I'm sure that flaming ethnic tensions won't have any bad reprecussions for Ukraine whatsover. Yugoslavia? What is that, some sort of a pie, maybe?
You're not even using the meme right XDXD
Conditions for victory? Nobody knows and they keep changing.Don't those silly so-called "experts" know that Russian conditions for victory are [whatever the map looks like now]???
Sounds deeply unconvincing. I am yet to see any solid results from the sanctions other than NAFO memes and all sorts of anecdotal accounts of Russian collapse that don't materialize on the battlefield. I have yet to see projections of the effects for any of the sanctions, graphs and data.It will work for as long as the vast majority of marine insurers are based in London or other western nations.
