As someone who fell for the personal development meme in the 2010’s, from my perspective Andrew Tate is just another guy who is out to get his money out of your pocket. He’s not the first and he won’t be the last. Napoleon Hill, Tony Robbins, Zig Ziegler (who was probably the most valuable one) Andrew Carnegie (edit: I mean Dale Carnegie) , are all the Andrew Tates of their era, but life wasn’t clown world so they didn’t have to be controversial to get everyone’s attention. All of these people bring *some* value to the table but their end goal is all the same: “Sign up for my $50/mo program to change your life.” I find it hard to trust anyone who made their money by telling other people how to make money. If Andrew tate were selling a DVD on how to become a better kick boxer then I would have more respect for him but he’s selling a dream to disillusioned teenagers. It’s kind of like the old adage “you can steal a lot more with a suit than with a ski mask.” Well you can make a lot more money by promising people riches if they follow you than by actually starting a legitimate business and earning it. Male PUAs are the testosterone version of onlyfans thots. They add nothing to the value of society and only encourage people to chase dopamine hits instead of real emotional and spiritual development. The most valuable personal development coach would tell you to put your phone down and go live your life, read a fucking book. He wouldn’t say “start a YouTube channel and post clips of me.”
