Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
As much as a Taycan is on my guilty pleasure bucket list, even if he got it for free/ extreme discount, he's a tech bro, not a auto mechanic. Porsche's are as they always have been; complete maintenance nightmares that makes Uncle Rico's rusty 1990's drug smuggling Ford Ranger with mismatched tires and 20 bullet holes through the bed look simple to fix.
I'm gonna disagree on this one. They had some fuckups in their history, ie. IMS, but if we are talking about models like 911 or cayman then compared to other sport cars they are actually one of the easiest to keep on the road, if you have enough money of course.

Right up until Linus tries to install a hundred terabytes of NVME storage in the chassis to create a sports car sneakernet, since he's too cheap for two internet lines.

That thumbnail face is more obnoxious than usual
He's flying high on the consumerism of that car buy

Large youtuber tie-ins are the lowest form of content, its just the rich on the platform stroking each others egos. That being said, Spiffing Brit has fucked with the platform hard, repeatedly, and I can respect that in a way I can't respect LTT's algo chasing.

I used to hate the British. I still do, but I used to too.
We hate the tea-drinking upper-class accent stereotype shit that British attention-seekers do to appeal to foreigners, too. They're the British equivalent of homosexuals that make being flamboyantly gay their entire personality.

Giga fags are being sincere though. I don't know this Spiffing Brit guy but I can guarantee he's in no way patriotic and would mock any Brit that was. The equivalent would be an American liberal doing a "Merica fuck yeah guns and Jesus" caricature. It evokes a primal disgust.

As mentioned above at 59:00 Linus talks about buyin a used electric vehicle (from a Porsche dealership so it likely is a Taycan) and having to deal with Quebec title transfer yet it seems like it comes down to his precious NDP Vancouver policies not working, and he even has a little bit of a no shit sherlock moment that voter ID is good, but then buys into the lie that states try and stop people from getting ID in the first place in the states.

At a point early on they talk about how they made a FloatVPN after PIA was bought by Chyna, but were turned off by the potential legal issues. They mention once you hit a certain number of subscribers it prints money which is why they have such massive discounts from the big VPN people.

The interesting thing from this week is at 2:22:35, where the entire thing they set up last year of having a standard issue computer parts across the company and standard rigs has been rendered moot because they have too many employees and they can't get the parts in stock for those standards (mainly motherboard). So the solution is to just use the free computers they review/build for videos to give employees but that just creates the same issues for logistics that happened in the first place. There is talk of having Puget Systems build standards but it's across the border which means bad for whatever reason, as if you can't just have someone hop over every weekend and pick up a machine or two instead of building an add-on at your new house. You would think one dedicated in-house tech person would solve the different rig setups but that's too elusive a goal for these fat neckbeards.

Speaking of free computers,

Linus pretends he doesn't care about these memes of him but you can tell he's a narcissist. What is really dumb is this is the computer they will use for their Short Circuit set, I guess to connect to monitor reviews, because the 100 hour handcrafted custom case from that one girl a few months ago was apparently "too bright" for the editors to work around. Sounds like a really gay excuse, you could just dim the lights on the inside or adjust the RGB.

I sure hope they drained and flushed that shit. Couldn't they have just make tea colored by mixing pigments? LTT is such a wasteful channel.

Another 5 minute craft tier video. LTT videos are tiktok quality videos stretched from 1 minute to over 25.
Isn't it bad for the pump and/or the tubes in the long term with that kind of liquid?

I didn't watch the video but did the tea have milk in it? (as any good tea should) I can see that turning to gunk and destroying the pump.

Welcome to the real world Linus! Everything is twice as expensive and half as available but Linus has been getting free shit for longer than some of his viewers have been alive so he hasn't got a clue. He can (in part) thank the ridiculous lockdowns that he advocated for and moronic politicians like Trudeau. (that he no doubt worships)

Anyway it has been a long ass time since I graphed the data on the screwdrivers and backpacks so here's an update:

Screwdrivers

I'm surprised that there was only a slight increase in sales leading up to Christmas. Did they event discount these things?

Backpacks

2023-01-02-Backpack.png
LTT Store no longer reports the inventory of available backpacks since the 12th of December. Safe to say that if you want the world's most overpriced backpack, there's plenty available!

Only included this one because of how bizarre and creepy it sounds.

Amazing. They've sent out so many drivers without bits that offering a random extra bit off the warehouse floor is just 'standard customer service'.

That's CRAY-ZEE.

It's almost like there's a reason that serious companies just have, like, a contract with Dell. That's not random enough for Linus tho
