The issue with this was that Germany's navy at the time was completely unprepared to land much of anything in the English channel and the Home Fleet was still a threat that effectively patrol the open seas and the Dover area was very much heavily fortified. The only way Operation Sea Lion wouldn't have been a big disaster if Winston Churchill shat his pants and surrendered the moment Fallschirmjägers landed around London. Even then, that over-rated drunk would still likely have kept going at it because he was so bullheaded that he would have rather shot himself than go down in history as a disastrous leader as he was seen after Gallipoli.
I don't know which part is more depressing and frustrating: that the press is so brazen about its propaganda that it cheerfully publishes obviously contradictory statements one after another (like these), or that it actually fucking works on some sizeable portion of its audience.

It's illegal to even joke about Hitler there and they can (and do) arrest and imprison people for hurting others' feelings. I'm pretty sure that alleged "coup" was just a glowop though. The cops only found a single gun among all of the co-conspirators which doesn't really make sense if they wanted to overthrow the government in a violent manner. It seems the whole situation is just a show to distract normies from the rising prices, mass immigration and tax money spent on foreign countries instead of were it's needed at home (the east mostly).

Actually I brought it up earlier, though I'd prefer not to be termed on either side so your comment is still accurate. I heard a figure of 500 but I'm not sure if that was dead or dead and injured. Whatever the figure it's serious enough that someone in the Russian chain of command is going to be raked over the coals for the decision to gather that many in such a vulnerable place; and that it was US HIMARS that were used.
