Thankfully the player appears to have his vitals returning to normal, though due to intubation, they are keeping him sedated.
Waking up intubated is a terrifying situation. Kudos to the skill and dedication to the trainers and the EMT's.
As per Patrick's opinion that one only performs CPR once the person is clinically dead, he is an idiot. A simple course with the American Heart association will give you all you need to be able to do compressions and you learn that once someone is no responsive, you immediately start compressions.
You don't stand there like a fat slob, waiting to be certain the person is dead.
Also his claim that CPR is not affective, I'm not even sure where the fuck he is pulling this out. In terms of speading potentially dangerous misinformation, I would put this up with his Rambo paint balloon insurgent advice to take out tanks.
Fuck this guy for using a tragic incident as a means to get his rocks off on social media.
I highly recommend all kiwis take a course. Hopefully you will never use it. You'll learn more than just CPR and you could save a life.
